I think it has to be established up front that this is a "value" product (i.e. cheap), compared to the typical hundred/thousand-of-pound scuba diving photography / videography equipments. With that in mind, I orignally bought this with the mindset that "If it works, great! If it doesn't it's only 30 quids." and I was astonished that it lasted our entire liveaboard trip, totalling 18 dives with several below 30m including one down to 36m. Of course, it doesn't reach 5000lux (anyone thinking a device this size and price can reach that level of brightness needs to re-adjust his/her expectation) but it is bright enough even at medium setting to illuminate up to about 1.5m. That is usually sufficient for general recreational use (e.g. fish and coral) but it is no good with a shark 10m away. Having integrated battery is a massive advantage because the only user-accessible seal (and thus the only water ingress point assuming non-broken device) is for the charging port cover (about 2cm diameter). I did put silicone grease (£5 Silverhook SGPGT90 tube) around the o ring before screwing the cover in and that could have played a vital role in allowing the device to last that long and deep. I also use the silicone grease to seal my GoPro Dive Housing as a good practice. If people with massive multi-grand rigs still religiously use silicone grease to reseal their housings, I really don't think budget users like you and me should turn our noses up at a fiver. I can't comment on battery life since it is not constantly on through the dives. For what it's worth, on my recent trip, I only charged it once after 9 dives even though the battery wasn't fully depleted then. If there's any complaint, I would say the way the GoPro is mounted on top of the light makes it rather tricky to match the video frame to the illuminated area. On some clips, I could tell that maybe the top 20% of the frame is not illuminated because the GoPro is looking a bit too high. And it's impossible to have a one-size-fit-all angle because of parallax error depending on subject distance. If Suptiq reads this review - make a ring light and it would be perfect! So overall, it worked and lasted (and even if it had not, it wouldn't have been that costly).

This is a great, low cost & effective underwater light. I’ve used a few times with my go pro to depths of 30m & it’s been very reliable. It’s lightweight & easy to pack for travels so a good option if you’re looking for something simple & easy to use

I purchased this as a waterproof light for a boat, I don't intend to use it underwater, but its good to know I have that option, I just wanted a compact bright light that would survive hits from saltwater waves, it certainly seems like it will. The screw fitting to get to the charging port is very tight which is good and bad, its certainly waterproof, but the plastic has already started to show signs of wear due to the amount of force it takes to seal and unseal it. I was also expecting it to be usb-c, but its still the old port, not a big deal but not up to date either. Will update once i have tried it out on a boat.

I bought this one and a smaller one from Suptig and took it to the Red Sea and dove with it for a week down to 40m. All i did was smear a little silicone grease on the seals and it was great. Bright enough to help the camera focus and even good enough to light up the depths of the Thistlegorm. Excellent value for money. Over 10 hours underwater and all groovy.

Beautifull underwater light, all tho... it is soo stromg it blinds people on the other side of the camera.

I’m a diver and I produce underwater video footage for stock sites, so lights are important to me. I have always used Suptig and these updated versions are great. These are fitted with an internal battery that is accessed to charge via a small rubber sealed plastic screw on the back, this reduces the chances of water seal leak, so this is good, (providing you still use your silicone grease as an extra precaution.) The brightness is good with 3 different levels and the emergency flashing setting. The mounting connections are always good, as they are compatible with all GoPro style mounts. For the money to me these are a great buy and because of the longer battery life, I can now get two dives out of one charge, which means I only need to carry two lights with me. Highly recommended.

Had if for several years now and I love it. For the price, it offers a decent product. Easy to charge and use. Light strength is not the best but a lot better than other more expensive items I have tried.

The research team, Loch Ness Exploration (LNE) have purchased this item several times and then placed on our underwater camera rig (known as 'Scrappy') so that we can explore below the surface. Loch Ness is famous for it's depth and pitch black peaty waters. As you can see from the attached photos and video, these underwater lights are fantastic and met all our expectations! We as a team were absolutely delighted with the results and we'll definitely be making more purchases in the future!

Muy bien, flota (que me gusta por si se me cae) es hermética, yo normalmente no la uso más profundo de 3 o 4 metros, siempre en el mar y después de 3 años usándola aún funciona perfectamente y la batería sigue durando meses. Por lo cómoda que es, la buena luz que da y lo que dura la batería, al final en mi barco la uso como una linterna para todo.

Cette lampe éclaire une grande surface de manière bien uniforme. Idéale pour la vidéo et photo sous marine. On peut facilement faire 4 ou 5 plongées de 60 minutes à pleine puissance sans devoir la recharger. Résiste bien à la profondeur de 30m (je n'ai pas plongé plus profond).
