Very helpful guide to take along when buying.
Unless you're already an expert on re-furbing TR7s, you'll need to read this guide before buying. Not much else in it besides 'what to watch for', but cheap at the price.

TR7
Don't be put off by the small 'pocket' size of the book. It is really does cover everything in detail. Ideal for taking the bits of info that you want and for the price, well worth buying.

excellent guide
This book may be small but it really pulls no punches. Just what you need when thinking about buying a TR7 or TR8. The checklist to use when viewing a car is comprehensive.

Good guide for the purchase of a Triumph TR7/TR8
Good guide for the purchase of a Triumph TR7/TR8. The font size makes reading a bit difficult but there's a lot of information inside. Colour photos are nice, but again, the physical size of the book makes observing them a bit of a challenge. The author obviously knows these cars very well (I own two of his other books on the TR7). This offering is a solid guide for anyone who may be contemplating the purchase of one of these vehicles and should allow a prospective buyer to avoid over-extending themselves into a restoration if followed correctly. I would have given it five stars but for the font/picture issues, but then again, being 45+ years old maybe its just my eyes!

Great Little Book
The Essential Guide to TR7 and TR8 is a very useful book for anyone considering buying a Triumph TR7 or 8. It covers all years and models including the rare Sprint versions. It is a categorized checklist with ratings to help in the selection of a car. It is also a good book for post-purchase readers diagnosing problems from their living rooms or planning where to start a restoration. The book is well organized and well written. Roger Williams knows TR7/8 and does a good job of describing where to look for what. The book is divided into chapters, each of which describes a different system or feature of the car and what to look for to rank it from great to bad. There are lots of clear, useful photos that focus on this particular car's Achilles heels; the main one being rust. The book is a mere 70 pages and, at about 5 by 7 inches, smaller than I expected. I was concerned about this until I discovered how much information was packed into it AND that it would fit in my pocket for when I went to check out a car. The resources listed in the back of the book are all in the UK so they were of no use to me here in Canada.I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price of $29 but it is a good value at around the $14 I paid for it and I am very satisfied.GK

Kaufberatung
