LumiQuest ProMax Pocket Bouncer Kit with Gold & Silver Inserts

As a professional photographer of over 40 years I've seen many light modification devices. When I placed this on my hand held strobes, the light distribution was poor. It produced a funneled light pattern when used and is completely unusable for any type of wide angle lens. I promptly returned it for a refund.

This kit is excellent and completely matches my expectations after researching my/the options. The kit comes is a nice foldable 'pouch' that keeps it neatly together and ready to assemble when needed. I did buy the velcro strap from LumiQuest in addition to this kit (as was recommended in a few reviews/forums to avoid the needs to 'stick' velcro permanently to your flash). Note: I've given it 4 stars for ease of use as I think the velcro strap is a must buy (recommended) option to really enjoy the versatility (move kit between flashes).Even though, I have not yet tried out all possible combinations, the results thus far have been very satisfying. Depending on the situation, it is easy to pick the combo to get the results you might want. Best results are obtained with the flash off camera. But e.g. with the diffuser in place, it can be mounted on camera and still produce much better lighting for your subject. As mentioned above, the kit is generic enough to fit at least the 3 types of flashes I tend to carry. I consider this a great plus !Once you decide that this kit is what you've been looking for, you won't be disappointed with the quality and results. Enjoy (like it do) !

I needed to be able to do some good macro photographs while visiting the Amazon (THE Amazon, that is! - the jungle one....) this past month. I have a good macro lens but did not want to spend $500 for a ring light. The 100mm macro enables me to stay a little further from my subjects, and I found that the Pocket Bouncer works just fine to provide the needed diffuse lighting. The gold insert reduces the bright white washout from the flash. I would probably need a ring light if I was going to be an inch from my subjects, but some were quite poisonous, and this set-up worked great at a very good price!

I have tried other flash diffusers (Gary Fong, Puffers, etc.) This works great and is very simple (they all are). However this does a great job putting the light where it should be. The other advantage is that it folds up nicely so as not to take up space in your camera bag.

I used this for a wedding. It worked great. However, I recommend buying the optional velcro strap.

Great little product. Definitely recommend getting the Pocket Bouncer kit with the gold and silver inserts. Those really add to your flash photography capabilities.

I was really hoping this would assist with the age old problem of nowhere to bounce your light, but regrettably it doesn't.It is only negligibly softer than a straight on bare flash gun and not even as soft as typical Tupperware diffuser (Sto-Fen).All in all, very disappointed and would not recommend, a complete waste of money and flash power.
