LumiQuest UltraSoft LQ-103

My first impression on opening the box was this device is well made. I just got my "portable softbox" today and have been doing with/without comparison shot of all sorts of things around the house. This little device made a wonderful difference in softening the the light in all of my test shots (pets included). I can't wait to take it on a shoot. I did use a Velcro band that I had on hand to attach it to the flash head instead of the adhesive Velcro fasteners that come with the device. Doing so makes it even more convenient to put on/take off. I highly recommend this to anyone who would like to reduce the harsh shadows in their photos (and just in time for holiday picture taking)!

Works well. I wish that the Velcro was tighter. Light is even.

It is quite flimsy. Handle with care. Anticipate replacing it after 6-12 uses. It's okay as an emergency option. I would never carry it anticipating a lot of flash. But, strangely, it fills a need. Anytime I take my flash I take this or something like it with me on the off chance I may need a diffuser because I won't have time to fiddle around with my flash EV. I'll carry a stofen for bounce but for portrait shooting it actually does okay. So, it's an EASIER option to get the same effect you would get by 2 or 3 camera/flash adjustments. If you only have time for one or two quick shots then this is good.

This is a very good diffuser to get softer light because the lighting source get bigger than the original source. But take in consideration that if you get farther away the lighting will be get harsh.Also when you turn to vertical grip, you will get the typical ugly shadow bordering the subject. So it is recommended to when you shoot in horizontal mode.

The design of this light modifier is a fantastic. The light is directed only where it needs to be, and the large canopy top gives a wide enough light source that for most portrait-style shots, you'll get nice feathered-in shadows rather than harsh lines. It will make your flash gun work harder, since it is spreading the light out, but it's nothing that'll kill your batteries all that much faster.My gripe is that the seams of the translucent shoot-thru material are very thin, and mine had begun tearing in two spots. It's useless with holes in the front material because you end up with big hotspots in your image where the light shot right out.So I recommend LumiQuest products to anyone looking to enhance their images, but with a warning to be careful of the seams on the front surface.

It works decently well, however, it removes some flexibility from your flash, if you don't want the flash directly facing the subject, you don't have too many options, as the flash must be oriented vertically in order for it to fit, but it does a good job of dispersing light and is cheaper and more transportable than most alternatives.

Great for macro and dental photography. Evenly distributed soft light.Easy to attach and remove too with UltraStrap.

I was in desperate need of help when it came to lighting. My regular flash was to harsh... This flash bouncer is just what i needed. It makes the light so soft all of my images turned out great! Another thing about this device is that when you need to store it in your bag, it collapses to become flat. Very light weight. I think for the money this is an awesome tool for anyone who needs help with lighting issues.

Im Gegensatz zu den üblichen "Joghurtbechern" die man auf den Blitz aufsteckt, führt dieses Teil tatsächlich dazu, dass sich die Fläche der Lichtquelle etwa vervierfacht und somit deutlich sanftere Schattenverläufe produziert. Natürlich darf man nicht den Effekt einer 60x60 Softbox erwarten, aber gerade zum Aufhellen von Schatten bei Tageslicht ist es perfekt. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für den dämlichen Gurt, der die Befestigung am Blitz ermöglichen soll - der hält vorne und hinten nicht. Ich habe mir einfach auf die 4 Seiten meines Blitzes selbstklebendes Klettband gepappt, damit geht es einwandfrei, verursacht aber zusätzliche Kosten. ottimo articolo, si monta e si adatta facilmente al flash (sb-200),la luce è meno diretta e le foto sono più belle........ quello che cercavo
