Great Quality Net – Not Cheap Looking at All
This net is very sturdy and well-made — totally different from the $1.25 ones you find at Dollarama. The handle and net connect a bit tightly at first, but if you align the holes properly, it fits together just fine.My child absolutely loves it, and I can see us using this a lot during camping trips. The design is simple, clean, and doesn’t look cheap at all.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something durable and kid-friendly. Works well. Good catchability.

Robust net, rest not so good
This Kingrol butterfly net set is okay for the price but not the best design or quality control. First the good - the net is thicker than others we own and it should have a long life and will be effective in collecting heavier objects like reptiles in addition to insects. Instead of round the handles are hexagonal and are strong and unlikely to get bent. They also make for easy gripping. Now the not so good. There are two telescoping poles and two 10.5 inch nets on metal hoops. The hoops screw into the handles. One net won't screw more than half a turn - the threads are jacked up. The other net screws fully onto both handles, so our set is one handle with a spare net. There are tightening nuts that hold the telescoping pieces in place whether fully extended or collapsed; on both handles they screw about halfway so there are visible threads on the threaded piece. It's not a functional issue so much as a design fail - why make a product that doesn't attach flush? Finally, the telescoping system is bulky all around. We have another 1/2 inch diameter round handle net that telescopes with just twisting and extending with no threaded parts, but see the comment above about it being susceptible to getting bent. This is okay if you want a net with a smaller diameter, and the net has worked good catching toads in the yard.

Good for catching frogs
Great for catching frogs. I like that they extend. Pretty sturdy, but you do have to be careful to not break them.

Great design. Solidly built. No comparison to the typical wooden handled coat-hanger wire types
Nicely designed and sturdy pair of insect nets. The rim is two thick hinged 1/2 circle formed of very rigid oval aluminum tubing. They join together to form a circle at a plastic dovetail bracket with protruding stud that screws into an equally impressive 3-section hex shaped expandable, lockable aluminum handle - terminating in a plastic grip.5 starsGreat design. Solidly built. No comparison to the typical wooden handled coat-hanger wire types
