fixed my mistake!
I bought some items and did not realize they were 5pin DMX until they arrived. these saved me at the last minute! Awesome items that did exactly what I needed!

Some unsatisfactory soldering, but usable
Wired for the primary pair on the 5-pin connector, with data on pins 2&3. At least one of the wires was not seated in the solder cup, and was just stuck on the edge. Another cup wasn't properly wetted, and you can see that the solder didn't flow cleanly across to the wire. A few of the heatshrink tubes are misapplied, being shrunk down over the wire insulation and completely missing the terminals. One of the shield foils on one end hadn't been trimmed, and while it wasn't immediately causing a short, it was flapping around and could have in the future if I hadn't checked.

Great for the specific fixtures
These are great to keep in your tech bag for whenever you need DMX turn arounds. Sometimes you might get a console or an out put that is 3 pin but need to go back to 5 pin and these are it. There might not be many scenarios where you do go from 3 pin back to 5 pin but these are great to have non the less. Tried these on one my splitters that have 3 pin outs and they worked great. Overall highly recommend to have for those emergencies when you are dealing with those weird scenarios.
