Pipe Fitter's Math Guide

This book shows you how to do practical math required for fitting pipe other than the standard 90 and 45 offsets. If you want to know how to cut down fittings to make offsets how you need them other than standard fittings along with weird rolling offsets this is the book. I do sanitary process piping and run a lot of bent tubing (swagelok) and this book has helped a lot. The author had to been a hell of a fitter!

Really breaks down what you need. Didn't realize how much I'd forgotten. Been reading bit by bit, gonna test in a few months when it feels natural and is second nature to me.

This book get to the point

This book goes into greater detail than the UA textbook which is also pretty darn good... ie: the reasoning behind the fitting takeouts instead of just putting up the formulas and it does the same with several other piping concepts. It's a great compliment to the UA book. Not to mention it's pipefitter specific without the plumbing info. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone getting into a fitting career

VERY useful book to have on hand! I never go to work without it!

I am very impressed with this book. I bought it for my husband, who needs to brush up on his math in preparation for writing a Qualification Certifcate exam to obtain his trade certification. The first half of the book teaches the math (converting fractions to decimals, geometry, trigonometry, arcs, etc) the second half of the book shows how to apply it to the trade. With this book my husband is finally becoming comfortable with the areas of math that he has always struggled with. Although I can do the math, I couldn't seem to help him understand. Mr. Hamilton explains it in a way that just makes sense to him. Well worth the money!
