Spider Catcher - 2 Stick handle version

Being terrified of spiders i bought this long handled spider catcher. It works well and doesn’t hurt the spider. Traps them and then release them in the garden.

Looks a bit flimsy but works well. Arrived on time and in good order.

We get a lot of Harvestmen spiders in our house that come in from the surrounding fields. These have very spindly legs so the sliding door can be awkward to use, as it easily squashes these delicate spiders. However, with practice, I've found that if you can get the spider to drop into the apex of the pyramid, it is then possible to slide the door across without hurting the spider.I've also found it great for catching flies once they land on a solid surface.Could do with the handle being a little longer, but otherwise it's a good product.

I purchased the two piece version which is quite sturdy and perfect for the job. I imagine the three piece might not be as sturdy and rigid.It’s easy to use you just have to be careful when shutting the sliding door so as not to harm the spider by trapping it in the door.

This isn't bad and actually works, however it's not suitable for tiny spiders aswhen you place the plastic box over them, because of the sliding lid it's not totally flat against the wall/floor so they just run off. Works on the bigger spiders though which to me is more important!

I brought this product to remove spiders and other insects that find their way into the house mostly in the winter months.The product works well and is straightforward to use, I have only given three stars as I did expect it to be slightly bigger and longer. However it is able to catch spiders of bigger sizes. I have found it to also to be a bit flimsy which thankfully hasn't been discovered when removing any critters from the house however this could prove problematic should the trap bit fall off during a removal. I highly recommend before using it that you make sure the product is securely fastened to prevent any mishaps. I would also say be aware that you keep the device in the same position and be careful not to turn your hand until you are ready to release the captured critters as the sliding door will slide quickly out of place and you risk loosing the capture. As for value of money I would say it is a fair price and a worthy investment for any arachnophobes.
