A forgotten horror classic of rage, jealousy, and murder.

Good old fashion murder mystery!
Without giving away too much it is about a woman who marries a man who offers her practically everything but keeps her in isolation. From here the plot thickens and the story begins. No swearing or gore, filmed in black and white with a good film transfer. I recommend this film for those who like well acted good story line movies.

Melodrama in Malaya
The novel that inspired this film was written by my great aunt, Marion Osmond, and it was made into a West End play and filmed twice. I would have bought the DVD years ago, but it was the wrong region for my player. A friend with an American DVD player encouraged me to do so, and I found that after all I could play it on my computer. It was worth the wait. Brilliantly adapted from the novel of the same name, I watched enthralled as the melodramatic and highly original plot played itself out, and a seemingly insurmountable love tangle turned into a happy ending. They knew a good story when they saw one in the 1920s! Well done Great Aunt Marion. I'm proud of you.
