So I bought this for Halloween b/c I let my Costco membership lapse and I didn't want to go broke buying candy at the grocery store. (Also, is it me or has the content of the special Halloween-sized bags of candy been halved but the price increased?)Every review should have some pros and cons; here are mine:Pros- Having only only one type of candy (in bulk) meant that each kid was able to take a handful and we still had plenty for the rest.- The candy wrappers are slippery so even the greediest kid was only able to snag about 6.- If a kid had a nut allergy, they or their parent figured out that they should avoid the candy because the word "Peanut" is in the name. (Yes, I had to point this out once)Cons- Having only 1 candy meant that I had to have a "Plan B" for the kids with nut allergies. I printed out a mini flyer (from Pop Cap Games and the ADA) that had a code for a free full version of "Plants vs. Zombies" which I gave to these kids.- Peanut Chews are delicious and addictive and not available in my area so, while I'm glad they're gone, I look forward to having the excuse to get another bag next year.Bonus: I didn't go hoarse / nuts telling every-single-kid to "Save some for others." and "Only take one, please."

Let me start off with saying that this was a complete and utter impulse buy, but has probably been one of the BEST impulse buys. After moving down to the southwest from the north east, I realized that there are no corner stores that sell the delicious goodness we call Peanut Chews. When I found that out, I had my best friend start sending me some in packages just so that I could still have a will to live. Well, after she got engaged, my peanut chews boxes stopped. That was so devastating and a few weeks later, I began to feel my body start to deteriorate from the inside out.THATS when I had this genius idea! AMAZON HAS EVERYTHING! CHECK AMAZON FOR PEANUT CHEWS.When I read that this bag contained over 200 pieces, I had a brief moment of weakness in my knees. I'm not sure if it was because my 100+ lbs German Shepherd conveniently hit my knees with his body while he was chasing a ball and rounding a corner or because I didn't know what I would do with 200+ pieces of Peanut Chews at once. HOWEVER, I still ordered this, and like I've already stated, it has been one of the BEST DECISIONS EVER.

There is something about these candies that takes the combination of peanuts and dark chocolate to another level. You might expect to hear me say that about some expensive gourmet chocolate, but not an inexpensive, mass-produced product like Goldenberg Peanut Chews. I don't know what it is, but they taste really good. I have a bowl full on my desk at work and, when a co-worker tastes one for the first time, their eyes invariably widen with surprise, followed by the comment "that is REALLY good"! I can't refill the bowl fast enough - the candies are that well liked - so I'm buying them in bulk now!If my superlatives make me sound like a paid reviewer, that's a risk I'll have to take. Be assured that I am not; I simply enjoy this candy more than any other chocolate product. I've eaten a lot of excellent chocolate, but I can't seem to eat fewer than three of these at a time....

These are a regional favorite in the NY-NJ area, maybe Philadelphia too since they're made in PA. I'm a great-grandma and they've been my favorite candy (when I could get them) since I was a little kid. Pure dark chocolate, whole peanuts and molasses - that's it! Missed them all the years I lived in other parts of the country.I've shared them with my friends here in the Blue Ridge Mtn. area of Virginia, and saw their eyes light up! Had to buy 3 lbs. of the small, wrapped candies, and still have some. They're found here only at the Fresh Market, so I decided to order online if I could - and I'm glad I did. I highly recommend them to lovers of good chocolate candy.

I absolutely love peanut chews and I've been searching for them here in Houston Texas. I found some about 5 yrs ago and then after a few months I couldn't find them anywhere. So I decided to look online for them from Amazon and I found this awesome price as well as big bag of my favorite candy. I will be ordering several more bags from this provider in the near future. They taste just like I remember and I'm enjoying them indeed😁😁😁

Well I ordered the product and received it melted :( Product was shipped in a US Mail Priority box with no room for any type of protection.UPS was the carrier who had delivered the product on time. I live in California and the item came from new Jersey.Of the few chocolates I was able to eat tasted funny so I threw the lot in the trash.The New Mall sent me this E-Mail.Hi David ,Thank you for contacting us.The weather condition is not good to ship this item to CA. We refunded your payment. I am sorry for any inconvenience.I believe that we didn't deserve negative feedback. We shipped your order before expected ship date.We tried to solve the problem as soon as you contacted us.If you remove the feedback, I'll appreciate it.I left their feedback on the origional but did give them 2 extra stars for their effort they did make to settle things.I guess if the weather is above 80* where they are and above that where ya are don't buy.If it winter then ya should be good.
