This product is easy to use and I am very pleased with this product. Before buying I researched a lot and found this to be about as good a price as any too, especially for its capacity. I Have used it several times already with no problems (and had fun doing so)!.I am a first time canner this year and was quite apprehensive about this purchase. I was going to start with a smaller capacity canner but decided to go all way, right away with the bigger one because with the Presto 1781 23 Qt. Canner you can layer your jars and process more jars at one time. In saying that if you purchase the 23qt Canner, I recommend purchasing an extra rack because it only comes with one rack. If you want to layer jars you will need two racks. Presto Cooking/Canning Rack for pressure canner as purchased on Amazon. Instructions are easy to understand and the product works great. I feel like I am an old pro already and boy is it fun!The only thing negative I have to say is that the manual that came with my product is missing several pages. I was however able to easily retrieve a manual online at goPresto.com to get those pages. As with other reviews it does darken inside but that is par for the course for aluminum...does not effect the product in the least!Would definitely recommend this product! Price was just right as well!

I recently got into canning and the small stockpot i had been using wasnt cutting it, but the bigger stock pot i had didnt have a flat bottom, and i was afraid after canning in the small pot of the jars bouncing into eachother and breaking due to the bottom not being flat. i measured my biggest stock pot (Tramontina 22qt Tri-ply base w/glass lid) and found this!Worked for water bath canning in my existing pot FLAWLESSLY! Canned 7 1qt jars of slow cooked marinara sauce with no jar movement! (and yes i know a pressure canner is also a water bath but i did not want to spend 7-10x the cost of this rack on a pressure canner!)My pot was appx. 11.3 inches at the widest point and this is supposed to be 11 inches, fit very well with the rounded edges at the bottom of the pot!

It is the same item which comes with the canner to allow a second level inside your pressure canner. In my case, I can place a second level of pint jars inside my canner allowing me to do more in a run.There should be one of these on the bottom of the pressure canner which the jars can sit upon so they're not on the direct bottom of the pressure canner, then place this rack on top of the lids of the first layer to have a second layer of jars. Simple!There was no flex, It has a small folded over rim along the edge to increase the strength so it is strong enough to support a whole layer of pint jars. (my canner is tall enough to do one layer of quarts or two layers of pints). My canner can hold 7 quart jars or 8 quarts of pint jars if I use this rack.What else can you say... it's strong, well made, well designed, and easy to use. If your canner is tall enough to do two layers or you need a new one this works great.

Product was just what I expected. Just like the one that came with my Presto canner. 100% Aluminum so if you can high pH (acidic) foods it will turn dark color but still usable.BUT the packaging needs to be improved as it was damaged a bit in transit due to it coming in a simple shipping sack. Needs to be in a padded bag or a box.

While I haven't used this exact item yet, I purchased it to double-stack jars in my Presto 23-Quart canner. It is made identical to the single rack that the canner included. It is thin, which allows plenty of room for additional cans. It is also well made, and as simple as it is, I do not anticipate having any issues with it for its intended purpose.Great expansion for getting more out of your Presto Pressure Canner! I do, however, wish that Presto would include this in their Pressure Canner kit instead of having to buy it separately for expansion.
