Requires finesse
If you're like me, you want a flashlight bright enough to recoil in your hand on the max setting, yet dim enough to spare your night vision on the lowest setting. This is that flashlight. But the button design makes the second of those two features hit or miss. A "tap" turns the flashlight on at a strong brightness. A "press+hold" will turn the flashlight on at the dimmest setting, but holding for longer than maybe 0.7 seconds will bump the brightness up a few hundred percent. This would be fine, except anything shorter than about 0.4 seconds is considered a tap.In other words, the thing wants to be bright. If you want to go from "off" to "low" without searing off the top layer of your retinas, it's gonna take practice.

Well built but you pay for it
Good amount and quality of light (neutral color, even medium-flood), lightweight, good form factor. Highest setting is insanely bright but only for a few (4?) minutes before it dims to prevent overheating, regardless of battery quality or level of charge. My $12 cheapo adjustable zoom headlamp (purchased years ago here on Amazon) is nearly as bright and lasts longer on a charge, but is much heavier and produces an ugly bluish light. Not sure if this is a good value, it's a bit expensive, but good quality. Saw another comment about this, but FYI: you can slightly unscrew the battery cap to "disconnect" the battery, a feature to prevent accidental turn-on (like in a bag).

Great light for the price
As a recreational caver, I own three of these lights for my underground adventures. These lights can really light up big cave passages. 1 battery can run me on a 6-hour trip at mid-level. Great light!

Well made, takes a beating in the cave
I switched to this from my Petzl after a biologist recommended it. Use it caving looking for small invertebrates, so smooth flood beam is what I needed. Only use low/high and try not to push the button too long, don’t want to get into other modes by accident which I did once by accident (wearing gloves). Will get another to Velcro to my macro camera rig.

Best headlamp made.
My third one. This one and the last were gifts, I still have my original, use it every week for several years now. Changed all my electronics I can to the 18650 batteries, a couple fenix pocket flashlights, my USB power bank... everything I can. So much better in every way possible, it's a game changer.

Let There Be Light
Extremely well built, bright as the sun and versatile; you can use it hands-free on your head or remove it and use it as a hand held flashlight. Expensive but cheapest here. Rechargeable to boot! Buy once, cry once.

Hard to beat.
All around great product. Bright, simple to use and durable. Run times are also pretty good for a single 18650.
