This is a strong flavoring and hard to find.
This is a very strong flavoring. I recommend that you use less than your recipe calls for and taste test before using the full recipe amount.We were making Black Walnut ice cream which both my wife and I love. We started with 1/2 the amount of flavoring the recipe called for and found it to be plenty flavorful.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:You cannot believe how good this product is when you are making muffins. throw some of this in with your recipe, plus vanilla (sometimes I've even used rum extract too), it is the best tasting muffin and people can't figure out what's in it. It's your new best kept secret.

It tastes horrible and is NOT as described on the Amazon Site!
Had to use ONE Star in order to write this review ... but should NOT even have one star!!!Horrible product!!! Does NOT taste like butter at all!!! Tastes like liquid penicillin from the 1960s with added rubbing alcohol! Glad I tasted it BEFORE pouring it into my cake batter OR onto any other food requiring a buttery taste. This product should be REMOVED from the Amazon Site.Since you CANNOT return this product, people need to know that they will NOT be getting what they think they are ordering! How can Amazon sell such a horrible product??? Not only did I taste it, I had other people taste it to make sure it wasn't just me ... they also said it was horrible!!!I am going to contact the Manufacturer and ask what they were thinking when they made this so-called "buttery" product!!! DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!

Fairly mild flavor
Not an overly strong rum flavor so you'll likely have to use more in your baking or if you use it as a drink flavoring.
