Very useful tool for learning the notes on the neck, plus more...
This is a great chart to have on my wall. I am a novice bass player trying to 'learn the neck' and this definitely helps. Some people have left feedback about the coloring of the notes on the neck (Too light to easily see) but I have no problem with that. (I am color blind and that usually is a big negative for me, but the contrast was good.) A Bonus is having the various scales also on the chart. Great job, great product. probably be on my music room wall for years. In case you wondered, the neck on this poster is life sized, so it is super easy to compare where you are playing...

Great poster, great size
Great poster, great size, and it fits nicely on my wall. It helps me learn about scales and it is clearly visible with all the information I need.

Great for information, stated size is incorrect
It is a great learning tool for anyone wishing to memorize scales and note placement for the fret board. the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the stated size of the poster is incorrect. Maybe I was wrong to purchase a frame before making absolutely sure the size was what the seller says, and it wasn't too expensive but having to return the frame to get the correct size is a little inconvenient if not frustrating. The correct size is 24x35, for any future buyer looking to frame rather than poke holes into this otherwise excellent poster.

Great quick reference!
This great as my son and I are learning bass. You do have to have a little knowledge, but to be able to use this chart as a reference was great! I purchased a 24"x36" poster frame from a local craft store to display this chart. Very happy with the quality of information included on the chart. I reccomend this poster for those learning the bass or anyone who needs a quick reference.

I like the display of scales and fingerings
I bought this chart and saw there were 2 musical scales that I had not heard of: Diminished Half-whole, and Whole Tone. I like the display of scales and fingerings. This is good for practicing different modes with the convenience of a poster as reference.

You REALLY can't judge this based on the 4 & 5 Star Reviews here...
The 3 Stars I left is a little high. Thing is, I don't completely DISLIKE it. It will serve its purpose, just not as I'd intended it. Do you see the enlarged picture of the neck of a bass guitar on this poster? THAT is the only thing about this thing that matches up with most reviews I read here. "Good for older eyes" (Yeah, if you happen to keep a pair of binoculars handy.) The scales themselves? I don't have time to make all the wisecracks I could about this. Myself, I cut the poster up into manageable squares, like flash cards used in schools back in the 1960's and 70's so I could put one on a mic mounted music stand I have where I can reference it. But to try to look at this thing, any of the scales from a distance??? Most of the positive reviews I read that reinforced my buying decision are ludicrous. Good luck.

very helpful once you figure out how to use it
At first it didn't make sense. It just gives you the first scale position for a note. That position is locked to fret and cannot be used across notes. For example the finger positions for G cannot be used for A in the same scale. For A there is a different set of positions even in the same scale. This won't teach you scales. So basically you need this only when jamming. In a jam you can look up the note and the scale quickly. Later you can stretch the formula to other notes. Note - my review makes no sense. Please buy it try it. It becomes an addiction after a while.

SCALES VS SONGS
You need scales if you want to learn songs!

bold and beautiful..
The Bass Scales wall chart is big, bold and beautiful.......nothing mysterious about it - all the scales laid out simply and clearly. It`s brilliant - I stuck mine in a frame and it`s on the wall of my practise room right now.......and, yes, I`ve referred to it already...
