We love this hair color. My mom and have been using this brand for almost 7 years now. It can be a bit gritty going on but the coverage is awesome and so much gentler than store bought kits. I also love that it has four applications, giving you the option of all over color or root touch ups

The product was good but I was allergic to it. Even though I did the test on my arm and neck nothing showed up at that point. After I used it my eye swelled up and blotches on my face. Other than that I actually liked it but obviously I can't buy it again

I am very happy that I discovered this brand. It covers gray very well, and I had no allergic reaction at all. You do have to use a conditioner afterwards otherwise your hair will feel coarse. It has four packets inside and for short to shoulder length hair one packet is enough. Therefore you save a lot of money.

This is my 10th purchase of "Indus valley hair coloring kit" I only use it once or twice a year. If I were to go by other reviews I would never purchased it. PEOPLE PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! ONCE YOU APPLY THE COLOR TO YOUR HAIR PLACE A PLASTIC CAP OVER YOUR HAIR AND ADD HEAT. OR JUST LET YOUR BODY HEAT DO THE TRICK. I let the color remain in my hair for an hour or more, never had a problem, except intense Black hair that lasts for months. I even add castor oil, coconut oil & avocado oil, my results was still AMAZING no other hair color ever did that for my 4b/4c hair.***SO I ORDERED THE COLOR 11/25, I was sent dark brown instead of Black, I called Amazon's TOP RATED CUSTOMER CARE, She ordered a replacement, I received it yesterday & Same dark brown arrived. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED with the warehouse operations team, I was offered a $5 Discount coupon to use for the next time I purchase the color. I will wait, it's obvious there's a mix up with the items.

I have been using this product since 2019. It has been great for me with PPD sensitivity. It smells like oranges and is very easy to use. I also brought this to my hairstylist to color my hair, and she loved the gentleness and effective coloring. She found no damage to my hair despite my frequent use of the color.However, after four years of enjoying the product without any allergic symptoms, the reaction returned after the purchase this summer. Not only did the design of the box change, but so did the ingredients. Now they do not have the line "No PPD" on the box. (I wish they could notify us of the BIG change)I have to stop using it in the middle of the treatment because of a burning sensation and itchiness, leaving a very uncomfortable feeling on my scalp with a significant amount of fallen hair. I would have avoided using it if I had known the change.Since I trusted the product, I purchased 4-6 boxes at a time, so I still have 4 unopened boxes, but they are all in the newly designed boxes which I cannot use. I wish I could get the previous version of this hair color.If you have NO PPD allergies, please enjoy the product with its ease of use without any harsh smell.Update 4/29/2025:"NO PPD" has been added back to the box. I would appreciate it if others could share reviews confirming whether this is true. Thank you so much!

Very messy and stains surface area quickly. The grains that fell ruin my sink floor, bathtub, etc. When I finished washing off with shampoo and conditioner the bathtub droplets stains won't come off. Although the product says organic and natural, there is something that is chemical as there was a feel of mild to gradual more than mild burning. ( I do not get burn feeling with Natrugent hair color). The dark brown came out dark black. I kept on hair for 50 minutes for my greys. Had to keep washing my hair every day and scrub around my hair line daily to remove stains that were going on my pillow and office shirts back neck area. Got a skin burnt on my temple while trying to remove the stain. Please rub fresh aloe if you get this to prevent skin damage. Greys were colored well. Too many packages to open with scissors.
