Connectivity, and range
Excellent, easy to setup even for me with no experience luckily the cable was in place for an old system damaged in a storm and great range

I like to give it more than 5 stars
My house has a lot of silver foil insulation and no WiFi signal can escape. This now allow me to have fantastic reception in my back yard. I mounted it on a pole that I can rotate as the signal is a bit directional. Setup was easy and this is clearly too quality construction 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Reliable Outdoors
The WAVLINK AX3000 outdoor CPE has been a solid performer for setting up a reliable point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless connection within my property. Its weatherproof design is perfect for outdoor use, and it has held up well in various conditions without any issues. The device was straightforward to set up, and the support for 100m active/passive PoE made installation a breeze, especially since I didn’t need to worry about running power cables separately. The directional antennas provide a strong and stable connection, which has significantly improved the coverage and speed in my outdoor areas. The multiple modes, including AP, Router, WISP, and Bridge, offer a lot of flexibility depending on the network setup you need. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the user interface could be more intuitive. It took a bit of time to figure out all the settings and get everything configured just right. Also, while the 1000Mbps WAN port is great for faster connections, the actual speed can vary depending on the distance and obstacles between the units, which is something to keep in mind. However, overall, the performance and reliability of the WAVLINK AX3000 have been impressive, making it a great choice for anyone needing a robust outdoor wireless solution.

Great outdoor directional wifi extender
This works well as a wifi extender over long distance outdoors. It is directional so will only give signal in the area it is facing. It connects to your router with 1Gbps ethernet so can deliver the fastest broadband speeds, limited by wifi speed only. It is relatively easy for a simple setup - youtube videos help - but can be used in more advanced and complicated ways as well if you know what you are doing. Tested to provide wifi to the shed-office at the bottom of the garden and it worked really well, with strong stable connection and decent speeds - 100-200Mbps from a 500Mbps full fibre broadband service.

Large outdoor router with good range
The first thing that surprised me when this item arrived was the size of the box - it is much bigger than I expected. However after unpacking it, the device itself is smaller than the packaging suggests - though it is still large. This is because of the internal antenna, and its similar in size to other devices I have used (my old 5G router was similar in size). You can get slimmer and smaller devices, but the range is compromised in my opinion, unless they have external antenna - which I don't find looks as neat as the internal types.Setup was super fast for me, mostly because I already had cabling to the outdoor location that I was going to install this. It took me around 5 mins, most of that time was trying to thread the included metal cable ties around a gutter. The device lets you use the ties that I mentioned, but also includes screws if you want to mount it to a wall.As I already had an existing network, I set this device up in AP mode. It comes with the POE power kit and 1 ethernet cable. Once installed, I just connected to the device via WiFi, set the wireless network settings to match my existing settings and turned off the DHCP function. It then rebooted and it was ready to go. The first time I tested it however, my speeds would not get above 90mb/s. I went back into the devices configuration and realised the problem (this may be specific to me, but mentioning it in case it helps anyone else) - the 5Ghz network uses DFS and 20/80/160mhz bandwidth. In my experience, DFS causes too many issues which I won't mention here. Instead, I just disabled DFS and used the 80mhz bandwidth.Following that, I was able to get speeds of 260mb/s. This was from 15m away from the device. At 45m away it was still getting 80mb/s and my iPhone was showing full bars for the WiFi connection. The ping time of 10ms was also impressive, as when my router (Asus XT12) has a speed test built in, it indicates that I have an 8ms ping time to my ISP.This is my 2nd Wavlink device - and this one impressed me as much as the first. I will certainly consider using this brand again.

Excellent coverage
This was admittedly a much larger device than I was expecting. It's about the size of a good/great router, a bit larger than the typical one you get from your ISP.I'm using this as an access point outdoors since it's weatherproof. I don't have a massive garden to be fair but it has no issue with coverage at all. I also tested it inside before taking it out and it blew my existing main router out the water and is about on par with the mesh I've set up. I have several thick walls throughout my house and although signal strength wasn't "great", speeds were still maxed out.Setup was almost a breeze, I had a small issue when trying out the repeater mode and couldn't connect for quite a while. Not sure what the issue was but it allowed me to connect after turning it off and on again.I haven't tried the PTP mode since I don't have 2 nor a big enough area to test it.Overall, a fantastic product. If you need a powerful access point, there are cheaper options but if you meed one outside exposed to the elements, this is perfect.
