Agri-Fab62468 Adapter, Mow-N-Vac

The boot from John Deere was $450. Tried this kit. In about an hour I was able to cut it and fit it to my 54” auto connect deck on my 1025r.

I bought this so I could get my new DR Lawn Vac up and running with my Husqvarna YTH 22V46. The pattern that came with it worked quite well and the adapter mated up quite well with the mower. My DR Vac shows up a few days later and I discover that the 8" hose that comes with the vac is to big for the adapter (I made the mistake of assuming that since most of the vacs I looked at had either 6" or 8" hoses, that the larger fitting on the adapter was for an 8" hose- it's not, it's somewhere around 7" diameter). If you have a lawn vac that uses a 6" hose shouldn't be a problem. I was fortunate to find a local shop that had a 8" to 6" reducer they connected it with a short piece of hose and clamped it down, and it works great- just wish Agri-Fab would have provided a little more detail on the description. Otherwise once properly fitted, it works quite well- the guy at the shop was impressed with how good the fit was based on the pattern.

I made a sled for my adapter to set on. See pictures. The metal cost more than the adapter. You will need to use an 8" coupler if using with a DR Power leaf and grass vacuum. I used a heat gun to soften the coupler and mold it over the adapter. 4 #10 nuts and bolts holds the coupler in place. Now you have the 8" outlet that you need

This is a good product that comes with a kit that includes all the cut out patterns for the different brands of mowers, hooks, screws and stretchy thingies. Instructions were clear and easy to use. I would have given 5 stars for this but my kit was missing the small "S" hook. the misleading part is that there was only one left in stock. After my purchase there was still only one left in stock.?Follow up...For some reason this doesn't fit the regular hose real well. It is a real tight fit and took some doing to get it on which will be a problem when unclogging the hose. I haven't actually used it yet so we shall see.

This kit had several bracket and hardware options along with instructions to fit many brands of mower except my Scag. I had to get creative and use the parts available and guess at cutting to fit.

Although I have not installed the product on my riding lawnmower I can say it appears to be a quality product and I don’t anticipate having a issue installing it on my mower. I like that it came with the mounting hardware.

I can't get the grass out of it, it works for about 5 minutes then the grass gets clogged in it.

This is a well built product, We had to modify some of the plastic due to the deck configuration, no fault of the unit.Had more than enough mounting bolts and nuts.
