These are a lifesaver for my dad.
I ordered these commode liners with the hope that they might help my dad, who is the sole caregiver for my 82-year-old, severely disabled mum. My dad is amazing with my mum, but the one thing he struggles with is cleaning out her commode and bedpan. He arms himself with a mask, rubber gloves and tackles the problem outside with a hose pipe and loo brush! These Omnitex Commode Liners are a total lifesaver to my dad, they are large in size, really strong, have drawstring tops, and fit both my mum’s commode and her bedpan really well. The best part is the absorbent pads are just incredible! When I first looked at one of the pads, I thought there’s no way that this, what looks like a single sheet of kitchen paper, could possibly hold the claimed 2500ml of liquid. So, I tested it. I slowly poured 2 and a half litre's of water onto a pad, and it instantly expanded, turning itself into a gel and soaking up every single drop of the water. I was amazed! This commode, and bedpan disposable bag and absorbent pad set will help my parents enormously. On her bad days, my mum can use the pan without having to get out of bed or spill a single drop, and my dad won’t have his usual struggles with cleaning out a used commode or bedpan ever again! The best part in my opinion is that the user of this item can tie up the drawstring bag themselves and possibly save any embarrassment in handing over a used bedpan to a carer. I fully recommend this ingenious product. For your confidence in this Vine Voice review, I am under no obligation as to what I can or cannot write and I only ever leave honest and unbiased reviews whether they be good or bad.Thank you for reading this review and I hope you find it helpful. For your confidence in this Vine Voice review, I am under no obligation as to what I can or cannot write and I only ever leave honest and unbiased reviews whether they be good or bad.Thank you for reading this review and I hope you find it helpful.

Makes an unpleasant task easier
I ordered this pack of 20 commode liners from the Omnitex brand for use by someone with very limited mobility. A commode by the bed has become a necessity although not needed during the day it's become a challenge to make it to the loo in the night. These are part-and-parcel of making that transistion as easy as possible - very independent, the idea of needing to be cleaned up after isn't appealing - making the clean up quick and easy dimities that argument and moves us forward I hope! The bags themselves are supplied on a roll, the bags are attached on the side (not top to bottom) on the roll, so the ties etc are down the side for the roll. I found it easy to detach the first couple for testing. Note, the blurb states the bags can accommodate 2.5 litres of liquid and 700ml of bodily waste. They are large strong bags, and the little of sheet of paper-stuff floating inside is what will expand inside the bag, turning all the commode contents into a gel that cannot be spilt. My understanding is that the little sheet of paper stuff is actually" Super-Absorbent Polymer" and not all super absorbent polymers are equal - the 80 percent rating here is one of the highest ratios of absorption to size you can get.On wetting, the SAP sheet ballooned massively in size, although eventually it struggled ( I do mean eventually)! Realistically you are not going to let a commode get that full for hygiene reasons, so the maximum volume is a bit of a moot point. it is certainly enough. The attached plastic tie handles mean that the contents are very quickly covered and removed, and once you got the hang of it, it could be deftly done with little fuss or stress for carer or user. The box does state that the bags "fit standard commode pails" and you should "dispose of properly. If at risk of infection please dispose of in a biohazard waste bin". I guess district nurses could advise otherwise it might be a case of double bagging. The box I received has an expiry dates approx 4.5 years ahead, so you have plenty of time to use them. These bags would also be useful for camping toilets, or if you popped the detachable pad into a smaller plastic bag (without air holes!) they would work as a diy sick bag. The bags are too large for a sick bag in my opinion (although you would improvise if it was available, I'm sure)The box the roll arrives in is not too bulky for storage, it's just over 8in by 4in by 4in.Definitely worth having and even if they are not used daily, the bag can sit ready in the commode indefinitely until they are needed, saving accidents in the night!

Tested with water.
Don't normally leave reviews but was so impressed with this product!Tested with water, does exactly what it says on the box. Says it absorbs up to 700ml of fluid. The bowl is 2 litres and definetly could of soaked up more!4 stars purely because the bag did burst. However it's probably only tested up to 700ml.Spot on for camping, campers or any bucket that the bag will fit. I will however be using my own bags I had previously.

Great for camping as well.
These are great for camping. They hold a lot of liquid and can be tied up and thrown away, making them very convenient. They are meant for commodes. 20 in a pack I thought were great value. It’s handy to keep these on stand by for travelling.

Exceptional value; strong
I was impressed with the price of these - just over £8 for 20 is very good value. These seem to be as strong and as well made than other brands I have used.Highly recommend.
