This book really is a game changer for first time travelers to Italy. We learned a wealth of information from it prior to our trip. It includes everything from tips and tricks to historical information to get get you ready for your visit. And, since we loved Italy and plan to return, I think this book will be a great way to refresh our knowledge or learn about a new part of the country.

Tons of info; nicely presented. Up to date with dentists, drs also which is a plus.

So much information about the country with pull out sturdy map to take with you on your trip.

This is a beautiful book, well organized, and thought out, with a lot of good information. Has pictures and maps, and I think that it will be quite useful.

I've purchased quite a few guide books about Italy and this one has turned out to be the best. It's organized in a logical fashion with regions and cities shown covering the well known and not so well known areas. And compared to other well-known guide books their recommendations are based on the most recent information, which is hugely important. Highly recommended!!

Didn't have anything about the Dolomites (not even listed in the index as having been mentioned as I single time!!) which is a key part of Italy, so no, I would not call it a complete guide.
