I have had these for nearly four months now, and have really come to appreciate their design and function. Using them to keep tea (green), sugar (white), etc., and have found that with their subdued colours and low-lustre finish, they are easy to handle, keep clean, and clean-looking. The seals are really excellent, being easy to open and close (helped by the moderate weight of the bases), while keeping the contents properly air-tight.Discreetly stylish, yet robust and fully functional - the full five stars..

Won't hold a full 1kg of ground coffee, that said it is nicely finished with a pleasing design, that doesn't look anything like an ashes urn! Really, it's very nice, and it doesn't say "coffee" on it, which is refreshing, as I know what's inside, I put it there!

Very attractive piece, but to my mind there is a design flaw in that the shape and dimensions make it difficult to handle: circumference too large to pick up with one hand; can't pick it up on the lid which, although air-tight, might still come off, so have to use two hands. Anyone else have same problem and any solution?

Just loved the shape, size and sturdiness. Looks great on my kitchen work top.

I love this jar. It is very well-made and it looks really good in my kitchen. I thought it might be too heavy for me to handle but it’s not overly heavy but a nice weight. The delivery was very quick. All in all I am a very happy customer.

Sturdy with a good seal but not difficult to open. Adds a splash of colour to my kitchen.

I received this product free to give an honest evaluationIts weight is 895g. It is matt black ceramic, the interior is black. The lid appears to be air tight, with a concertina plastic seal and looking at it, if the plastic bit breaks/shatters it could be removed and replaced with a rubber seal. I asked my husband who has arthritic hands if he could open it, and he couldn't so this item may be a problem for those with arthritic hands.. It looks like it could have good capacity, a litre of fluid half filled it.Sorry to say this but, whilst its a smart, plain black container it reminds me of an urn.
