Hot tip: measure and buy the size you measure at, not the size you WANT to be. I followed the reviews (specifically for this color/style), and ordered two sizes up. I got to exchange this item for two sizes down.I know the size chart for the black dress with light blue embroidery is accurate. I measured my bust at 35.5", waist at 29"- This fits in the range for the medium size. (Don't forget to measure NATURAL waist-not where your jeans/pants typically sit.) There is no excess room, but it fits just fine. You don't want a loose dirndl. I could maybe have gone with a large and used the laces or the apron to fit it better to my body. I will agree with some of the other reviews, the midi shirt is very snug, but under the dress you don't need it to be any bigger.The dress is well made, and the embroidery is beautiful. The hooks for the laces are metal and well attached. I didn't have any issues with the zipper, it zipped smooth and seemed sturdy. Included for the lacing is a sewn piece of narrow cotton-I will be picking up some ribbon to replace this. This item will also need a good ironing before you wear it!One last piece of info-Where to tie your apron!The strings of the apron are nice and long, you wrap it all the way around and tie it in the front. The side you tie it on has meaning-Bow on your left side, you are single and looking!Tying it on the right-you're taken.In the back-waitress or widowed.The center front is traditionally worn by virgins, but since most women don't wish to publicly declare this, it's often seen on young girls.

I absolutely love this dress! It is adorable, and the fabric isn't cheap, like you would typically get if you buy a costume in a bag from a costume shop. I feel like a got a great quality dress for Oktoberfest at a reasonable cost. I looked adorable in it, and I can't wait to wear it again. I got a ton of compliments on it as well. If I were more gifted in the boob department, I think this may not have fit me well at all. I ordered the XL, and I am 5'3", 150lbs. It fit me well, but I think it would be a squeeze for a chestier woman. (I am a 38 B.)Overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase. It saved me a ton of cash over many of the other options for similar products, and I love it!

I ordered the "Blue Dot1" style and this dress is super cute! I'm the exact measurements for a small (70cm waist, 86 cm bust), but I ordered a medium based on the other reviews of this running small. I'm 5'6" and 130-135 pounds and typically a size small in most of my clothes. The medium in this is pretty tight, but it fits. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the strings to cinch the bust part of the blouse was broken when I received the item. I was still able to make it work by wrapping the second string around my bra and the  BOOLAVARD Women's Magic Bra Shaper Vest Breast Support (Medium / 4, Nude)  which I highly recommend to go with this dress. Prost!

I ordered this dress in 2X the first time because several reviews said to size up... Don't do it! Measurements given are body measurements, not clothing size measurements, and the clothing will fit well if you order the correct size according to the chart. XL fits me perfectly! 5'9 and 195lbs (38B bra size).The outfit is well made and looks higher quality than expected for $40. I only have 2 complaints: the apron waist ties are not long enough to form a bow anywhere but in the back (which is not traditional as I understand) and the arm bands of the shirt are very tight (in the XL compared to the 2X). However, the overall look is lovely. I would feel comfortable wearing this just about anywhere. I'm contemplating buying the burgundy colorway as well.

This is a nice choice if you want to get in the German spirit on a budget and not look like some cheesy halloween costume. The knee-length was just what I wanted and the blouse cut is saucy, but not skanky.I made a couple changes for my own comfort/taste:1. the apron is a bit short imo. there's a small pleat at the bottom that was easy to let out and gave me about an extra inch in length, which I think looks much better (less like a little kids apron). I'm planning to add some decorative trim before my next use since it's pretty basic.2. I added a hook and eye to the top of the zipper. The clunky white zipper front is really the only thing that screams budget purchase about this dress, adding the hook and eye pulled the seams closer together to hide the zipper and it looked much neater.

Dirndl dress quality better than expected. I'm 5'3", 128 lbs and the Medium fit perfect (length, waist, overall) and I was comfortable wearing it all day while walking around outdoors at a Vermont Oktoberfest celebration, even in the rain. Got many compliments! Note: chest area larger than 34-36 may want to consider sizing up as there was little wiggle room in zippered back. Zipper appears to be fragile but was tender with it so it held up. White top underneath is small, got it on easily but had to work a bit to get it off. Chain link flimsy but again, held up. The dress itself and apron are nicely made and fabric looks more expensive than it is. Outfit was extremely wrinkled out of the package. Hung it up for a few days and the wrinkles remained. Ironed it on medium on the reverse side and they all came out nicely. Overall, for the price, great buy! Burgundy/Black combo great colors.

Love this dirndl! Authentic look that I can’t wait to wear to Octoberfest in Munich this year!The fit is supposed to be snug and I ordered a fee sizes and cuts before deciding on this one as the best one for my shape. I normally wear M and the L in this dirndl for best. I’m 5’3 150ish lbs and have 32DD chest
