This is a great epilator, but before you start be warned: epilating itslef is rough The battery lasts so long and it works in and out of the water. Just make sure to exfoliate before and it will do the trick. it is by no means painless and is very time consuming so I'll likely be switching to laser, but it definetely works if you are ready to take the time to use it right. I have seen thinner regrwoth as well. I just wish I got the wider one as using the small attatchment head takes a lot of time when going over an area like the legs. It also frequently misses hairs but hey.... that epilating for you.

I've only used this item three times so far, and only on my chin and upper lip areas. So far, the results have been excellent. I have had a lifelong issue with dark, coarse hair on my chin/neck and upper lip areas, and it has been a challenge that long to find a solution. I most recently was just using a small women's rotary shaver type thing, with barely adequate results. I had to use it every other day, and had to replace the shaver frequently due to product failure. This epilator has been a revelation.These are things I need to point out:1. Resting a hot washcloth on the area for about 20 seconds beforehand helps with comfort. However, I find the process only stings a bit. I would not classify the sensation as pain nor discomfort.2. Witch hazel takes post treatment redness away - though I have not had much of that.3. It can be difficult to get into certain spots - beneath nose and edge of lip. I try stretching the skin with my fingers.4. Results are much better and seem to last longer than my previous product.I have not used the other products in the package. I lost the little cleaning brush and I'm unhappy about that.

For years I've gone to a salon to be waxed once a month (every 5 weeks) and have been spending $200+ per visit. I was looking for something to reduce that monthly cost. (I pay for a full leg, brazillian, arms & armpits).I've used an epilator before, but it was nothing close to this one! There is a huge difference between the Braun & the more basic model I had before. (also sold on Amazon for about $30)It's not loud, even on the faster speed, I could easily hear the TV over the epilator..Pain was minimal to none..I was almost thinking it must not be working, until I pulled the head off...it was full of hair! It was pulling even hairs too short to wax! My legs feel so silky smooth..no red bumps or discomfort..I will easily be able to do everything but the Brazilian, (can't see myself epilating there) I can already tell this will easily save me more than $100 a month!There is a light on the epilator, which makes seeing the hair much easier, deffinately a plus!I would (and have already) recommend this Braun model. I dont know if I'll have use of the other attachments, but they are a nice bonus!Great price for a quality machine, does everything it says, I'm so happy with this epilator..

I have been using one of these for 15+ years. This is probably the third time I've purchased one. The last one I purchased had two heads, which was a great idea, but it didn't run very well unless plugged in even though it was supposed to be cordless. Finally, one of the heads stopped working so I could finally justify replacing it. I love this new one, it is just a single head but runs very well cordless and is pretty quiet too. It has a light that is pretty bright and also has bars on both sides of the head that tilt, which is new, not sure what they are supposed to do, maybe make the hair stand up? I just wish that the head was larger, ie more surface area to pluck with. I know that they probably are doing this so it won't hurt as much for newbies, but really it doesn't hurt at all after a while, and if you use it religiously, I think the hair doesn't grow back as thick. So, smaller head means more passes for me, oh well. You can even use it in the shower, not sure why I would want to as it seems that would make the hair lay down more. It also came with a bikini shaver and attachments, like my unit two times ago did. The head on the old one is not usable anymore so I'm happy to have a new one and put one of the new attachments on the old one too for two different uses like eye brows too. Overall, it is a good unit, just disappointed that after this much time has gone by; the innovation in this product has gone nowhere.

The worst epilator I had. So weak that falls apart if the hair is a little stronger. Need to go over same spot multiple times. I wish my return window didnt pass at that time

If you’re like me and had the old SilkEpil 9 and “upgraded” to this one only to be disappointed that it not only doesn’t come with a stand, Braun doesn’t even sell one for it…I got you. I hate things laying aroundcharging on the bathroom counter. I NEED a stand. If you have one from the older model (hint: you can buy a replacement one from Brauns website), take a Dremel and file the front of the stand down until the epilator connects. The front of the Flex is a little bit fatter so you’ll need to make room for that to sit on the front. Other than that, the charging cords are the exact same. Not necessarily pretty, but fully functional. You’re welcome.

Had to replace an old Braun one that fell and busted, so I decided to try this one.The swivel head and I guess newer tech made me glad I broke the old one. This one is easier to use, I don't have to go over the same area a million times and it hurts less!!!After about 10 minutes I realized I was NOT wincing all the time.I haven't used the brushes or exfoliator yet, so I can't say about that, but the set as a whole is a good buy. and the carrying case is pretty too.BONUS - I live abroad and with a small adapter I'm able to charge this using my 220V outlet.
