Works great
I've used it a while. It still makes some hollow ice cubes. After $500 in plumbing and $50 for a new filter, I wish I'd just bought the OEM ice maker too. This is just not that great. It's ok. It makes ice but a lot of it is still hollow. I have not requested a replacement from the seller, but I'm thinking I probably should. 3 stars. Meh. Update 8/28/2024. Replumbed the ice maker line with 3/4" copper to a 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/2" T, 1/2" copper all the way to the shutoff valve and normal braided flexible hose from valve to refrigerator. Water flow and pressure are now great to the refrigerator. Filter replaced as well. Ice maker is working better with some solid cubes, but still producing some hollow ones. It initally was making hollow ice cubes, but I checked my line and had very low water flow on the icemaker line. Replacing the water filter also did not resolve it. Replumbed the water line and its doing better, but not sure that's completely the issue. The old OEM ice maker was making solid cubes even with low flow, it just had a broken tang and sometimes jammed up. I need to let this one run and see how it does for 24-48 hours. On 8/24 I reached out to the seller as it was past the 30 day return period. (I was slow to install it.) They offered some links about things that might cause the hollow cubes, but also said they would replace the unit if I was convinced the problem was with the unit. So that's a positive on the support. I may or may not need to take them up on that. I'll review the links they sent to see if there is some adjustment I can make to the icemaker itself. If not, probably will request that replacement unit. It's making hollow ice cubes. The old one didn't do that, but it may be low flow into the refrigerator or other issues. I'll reach out to the seller as well as replace the water filter and check the water line

Works Good
Working well, thing hadn't worked in years. Probably want to go ahead and replace the solenoid water valve while you're at it. These things aren't Speedy Gonzales. Takes a couple of days to fill the bucket and you likely want to dump out that first one. However, If you only use a few ice trays a day it's more than enough. Ice production is mostly uniform except a couple that stick together slightly. Most likely because it's not totally level. May revamp one on another of our Frigidaire, I'll have to run a water line to it though.

Replaced Frigidaire Ice Maker Perfectly!
We have a fridge/freezer that works perfectly (about 9 year old Frigidaire), but the ice maker has been giving some problems for a while. It was finally time to get a new one. We thought we'd have to call someone and it would be a service fee plus no idea how much to actually "fix" the thing. I thought I'd check Amazon just to see what was available. This popped up and I didn't think there was anyway a $50 replacement would actually fit our freezer. However, after looking at it closely, it appeared the same in the photos as what was currently installed. Next stop, YouTube to see if we could actually replace it ourselves. The YouTube made it look easy (unplug the fridge, couple of screws to loosen - not remove, and unplug the connector). No weird wires, or water tubes, or anything you would think is super complicated. We order it... and it's an exact match for our maker. The un-installation and re-installation is a little trickier than we thought because you can't actually SEE what you're doing. You have to feel around where the screws are located (I actually look a photo with my phone to get an initial idea of what I was dealing with initially). And the plug connector had frozen together. I would do it again in a heartbeat - just plan more time than you think. As far as the ice itself - it seems to be same as the previous maker. I can't speak as to the amount if it's the same or less because ours has been on the last leg for some time. But from what I can tell, it will make enough for what we need and we are excited to have a reliable source of ice again!

The product itself is great and works great.
No instructions but easy to find a utube. The old one is in a narrow side by size freezer and without my wifes small hands, I'm not sure what we would have done. You need to find the screws blind. Once out, this replacement went in fine and was again tough to to blindly find the screws to tighten. Once that was done, a simple process to level it, lift the lever and once again, ICE. The $50 was dirt cheap compared to having to replace the fridge/freezer.

Works as good or berrer than original. I have had this icemaker for a few months . We have had to turn it off more than once. That is with three adults having drinks in out hands all day. If you are concerned about quality I can assure you it really is as good as the original.
