Tactical Extended Long Rail Cantilever Mount 0.5" Riser with 25 Slots BM2505EX

Wound up working great adding extra length to the top rail of a Ruger SFAR with an M-LOK forearm. Can add iron sights, reflex sight, and have enough room for detachable scopes and a drop mount torch.

The rail itself is great the screws however not so much the Allen wrench that was sent did not quite fit like it was a standard when it needed to be a metric or vice versa I contacted the seller and to their credit they sent me a new set of screws very quickly however to get them tight like I wanted I used a dremal to cut a slot for a flat head screwdriver I then worked fantastic. However in only felt comfortable doing that after I had an extra set.

I had to locate my prism scope all the way to the front because of the short eye relief. That was sorta ok but I had to bury my face in the receiver to get my eyes close enough I had my stock adjusted all the way forward too. This piece allowed me to adjust my stock further back without losing any eye relief. I t was almost already zeroed in after installing it. The end is a little warped but I'm sure it could be straightened but it works well just the way it is.

I used this rail extension to mount an extended-eye-relief scout scope (a Burris 200261 Ballistic Plex 2-7x32mm) to my single-shot rifle. The good: - This rail extends the length of your Picatinny rail forward by 14 slots (almost 6"), which is enough to mount a forward-mounted "Scout Scope" on your rifle, turning any rifle into a Scout Rifle! - At only four ounces, it's very light weight, which is also good for making a scout rifle. - This rail is much cheaper than hiring a gunsmith to install a custom scout-mount on the barrel of your rifle. Besides, not all rifle barrels are suitable for mounting a rail, due to their thinness or taper. - Fits any rifle with a Picatinny rail on top (and should fit weaver-style rails as well, but I haven't tried that). - Right now, Lion is about the only manufacturer that makes rail extensions long enough for a scout scope. The not-so-good: I subtracted one star because in making the product lightweight (4 oz), Lion seems to have sacrificed some sturdiness. The front of the rail can be flexed by hand. This is probably not a concern for short to mid-range shooting using non-Magnum calibers, which is typically what forward "scout scopes" are used for. However, if you're planning to put this on a sniper rifle, or do long-distance hunting using Magnum calibers, I suspect it may be less accurate than a sturdier mount. However, the only competing products I know of that were sturdier are either too short, or were discontinued, including the discontinued "Yankee Hill Machine Half Inch Rail Riser 11.25 Inches Long YHM-9590" (which another review mentioned) and the discontinued "Weaver Tactical AR-15 Picatinny Rail QD #99659" (which I also own, but my Weaver-brand rail wasn't long enough to mount a forward scout scope, which is why I bought this Lion scope extension).

Item mounts firmly and holds my optics (Sightmark 3x magnifier and Ultra Shot QD). Only put a few rounds through it but so far it has held zero. The product is black, I used Duracoat to make it FDE. There is a bit of parallax going on in the photo, 5 3/4" is over the receiver - 4 1/4" overhang.

Garbage. This is GARBAGE. This may work on something like airsoft but not a real firearm. The screws are made of soft material. So soft I couldn’t tighten them before they stripped. Had to use a screw extractor to remove the 1 screw I was able to tighten a little bit. And I’m a licensed contractor and handy with tools so I know how to unscrew a screw. Just avoid this for anything serious. Frustrating. Also, it’s long so at one end it’s super floppy/flexible.
