The box it arrives in is not that big or heavy; I was actually surprised how well it fit into a box that size! It comes in four separate sections; a bottom piece, a top piece, and two bigger middle sections. There is a smaller bag that contains screws, spacers, and a small Allen wrench. It was pretty simple to put together and it also comes with brief directions on how to assemble. The sisal is tight and good quality; did not have any tears, snags, or empty spots.Appearance: This is a beautiful scratching post, and not an eye sore in any way. It fits perfectly into any room and doesn't take up much space. The balls that hang off the side are also very intriguing for the cat, which entices them to want to use it.My cat loves this scratching post! I put the sections together without the screws just to see how tall it was, and she immediately went to town scratching the sisal & playing with the balls that hang (one on each side). Now that it's officially built and stable, she plays all through the day & evening.Overall, the value for the money is right on target. If you're looking for a thicker, more stable base, you may need to pay for a more expensive one.Side note: Please excuse all the Christmas wrapping papers and clutter laying around. I was in the middle of preparing for the holiday when this arrived. Also - this video was taken prior to any screws being put in the different sections which is why it appears wobbly. My cat attacked it before I could secure it. It is stable once properly screwed in place!

My cats enjoy this scratching post. It’s attractive and looks nice in the living room where they might’ve been tempted to use the couch. It may not be sturdy on a non carpeted floor but that’s an easy fix. Good value.

This has got to be probably the best cat scratcher I have ever purchased. I have two Siberians and one Maine coon. I want Siberian is 12 pounds my other Siberian is 16 pounds and my Maine coon is 26 pounds. When they use this to scratch their nails, it says sturdy doesn’t fall over. It’s nice and tall so they can stand up on their back legs and properly scratch it. My cats usually shred cat scratchers within a couple of weeks to a couple months depending on how well it’s made. I have yet to see any type of falling apart coming from this. It was easy to put together and this piece is used to put it together have not stripped like other ones from usage. Now it is big keep in mind. It’s not like the little ones but bigger is better when you have big cats.

As an actual cat scratcher, it is great. Tall for adult cats, with a sturdy base that prevents tipping over but...the double-ended thread 'screw' that attaches the 2 top pieces do not have a 'stop' on it and I had to use a thin pair of forceps to keep it from just spinning when assembling. That said, I ended up wrapping a small piece of tape in the middle of the screw as a stopper. My cats love and actually use it, so it's a win for me.

This scratching post is not shredding like the cloth ones or even the hemp ones. Looks great. Same height as the others. Worth the money. Helps to save my recliners.

Love these scratching posts. They are really tall and durable. My two cats can stretch up tall and scratch to their heart's content.

This is the best cat scratcher I have ever purchased. It was recommended to me by my sister who is having trouble keeping her furniture in good shape also. The SISAL that is wrapped around is literally indestructible and my cats love it. As a result, they no longer are climbing on my furniture. Everybody wins.

I've gone through many of these for my 2 cats. Prior ones have been very overpriced and lasted about 6 months before becoming totally shredded. This one is very reasonably priced and appears to be well made. Rather than the rope material just being glued to a cardboard base, this one uses smaller diameter material to cover the post and it's woven. Also comes with 2 fluffy balls on strings attached to the top where the cat can jump up on and take in the view.I just may buy a 2nd one for an upstairs room.
