The MTW4 sound quality is impressive and it can be configured for lossless audio, but there are definitely things to be aware of. None of it really affects the overall quality, these are absolutely premium earbuds 100%, they just might not be right for everyone. If you play games on your phone, you'll have to manually reconfigure the audio resolution on the Sennheiser app to low-latency every time you play a game to reduce the audio lag. You'll only notice lag if you play very fast games like FPS's, probably not so much or even at all with SIM's, puzzles, and most time-wasting casual things. You could also just leave it configured to low-latency all the time, but then you'd just eventually have to switch it back to HQ after you're inevitably directed to Qobuz to get the most of your Sennheiser experience. And switching the modes is a little tedious, you have to remove both earbuds and set them down or the app won't switch modes. If you switch back and forth between intense games and music above Spotify quality, these won't be your PRIMARY headphones, but they'll still do nicely on the go. I never had this experience with Momentum 3. The only thing I HATE isn't really an issue the headphones themselves, but the new app that only offers a 5-band EQ and about a half dozen presets. This could always be rectified with a future software update, but it's a little weird for headphones that market to lossless audio consumers. 5 bands, for real? Of course you could get around this by just leaving Sennheiser's EQ settings flat and adjusting the bands in your streaming apps, but then it wouldn't apply to your games and it's just another thing you'd have to manually set back in the Sennheiser app repeatedly. All of the cons with these earbuds involve gaming. Sennheiser boasts the low-latency of the MTW4 for gaming and they aren't lying about it, but using it correctly and still getting the best sound for music is a different story. But the good things about them are they fit comfortably, sound incredible for earbuds, and the transparent audio is so clean, you'll want to leave them on all the time, listening to music while you do everything else. As usual for Sennheiser's premium models, the low end is sublime, they pretty much understand bass better than everyone. Especially if you like electronic music, Sennheiser's entire Momentum line is specifically tailored for that and nobody scratches them.
