Great little motor

I used this motor to replace a dead 120VAC motor in a box fan. It has run on solar power (12VDC) since the day I got it 3 months ago. It runs at 1/2 speed via motor controller and is at most slightly warm when I check case temps. Very pleased with its lasting potential.

Good torque.

Does not meet stated ratings. Does not spin with a small load on the output shaft.

i hooked this up to a plug in dc converter and it worked very well no overheat very consistent rpm

Came packed in bubble wrap, so arrived nice and safe. Took it out of the plastic and it's very well made, with a great fit and finish. Just looks amazing. Has some heft to it. Hooked it up to 12 volts and it is very quiet, very quiet. It does have some nice torque to it, kind of tried to stop it with my fingers, did not work. So tough enough for most jobs. No complaints on this one. Awesome motor, beautiful, okay price, would gladly recommend.

This is a lot of motor for about $20. Mostly I've found that my choices are either AC motors, crappy little brushed motors, or, if I want something better - BLDC. For my electronics tinkering, AC just won't do for all of the usual reasons, and generally BLDC is complex and expensive to drive - so for most stuff, I stick with brushed DC motors, which means I'm generally either paying a lot for motors, or making do with really inferior hardware. This motor was exactly what I was looking for - good quality, good power, quiet - every indication that it's a quality piece of hardware - but at a price point that is reasonable.
