Applications and uses of this strap are multiples including but not limited to stop a child (Age 1 to 5 years. Every child is different what works for one child may not work for another child ) to open the refrigerator and appliances doors, cabinet drawers and doors, or just for a quick fix. Use it around challenging adults and children with special needs. This is the best option for people that rents, travels on vacations, RVs and boat owners, grand parents house, day cares, assistance living facilities among others. Description. This strap is 10 inches long (including the buckle ) made of loop self adhesive velcro. Good to use on stainless steel appliances, wood, metal, and glass surfaces. Best use is for indoors. The buckle has two digit combination lock that can be change at any time. Instructions are included to change the two digit combination. Default combination is "00". How to install. 1. Before you install, clean the surface of any dust or dirt before to place them. 2. Before you peel off the film try the length around the handle/door and cut any excess. 3. Peel off one of the sticky back side and place at the handles/door, make sure that the buckle sits in the middle of the gap between the handles of the doors or the door and the fix side. Continue with the next side. Look for the best alignment. 4. For better results wait 24 hours to get an stronger bond with the surface. Refer to picture to see an example of how you can place this strap. Important Notes. 1. This product does not replace supervision over your child. 2. We have tried it in many models and 8" is the average that is needed for a double/single door refrigerators.

Does the job
So this has been great for my 3yo to stop opening the fridge in the middle of the night and leaving it open. I’m usually against this kind of crap, but I don’t want him choking when we wouldn’t be around or the contents spoiled upon waking. I’m hoping it comes off well enough, but anything is worth the peace of mind.The code is finicky, like we chose “22” but it altered itself to “20”, but whatever. My older kids can still get in and lock it.

A blessing
My 5 year-old daughter (who is on the autism spectrum) was always getting into my refrigerator and either making a mess or eating all of something. Her therapist suggested that I get a lock for the refrigerator so I tried this one out - boy does this make a difference. Not only does it keep her out of things but it makes her Have to come to me and communicate with me that she wants something to eat. We did have a bit of a problem with her still being able to get into it the first week until I realized that my other daughters weren't locking it while it was on the unlock code. Once we figured that out it worked great 😊

It only took my 6 and 8 year old a day to figure out how to feel the lock. Pointless.
We liked this for a day when it actually kept our kids out of the fridge. If our kids were under 5, it probably would've been great, but my two older ones were patient enough to scroll past each number and feel when the clip gave. If you're looking to keep older kids out of the fridge, don't get this one.

Easily decoded.
Installed this in the afternoon. Following morning my son told dad how to decode the lock. You just turn each side until you find the number for that side...then turn the other side until you find the number for it.

Childproof!
This is exactly what we were looking for! Our toddlers have a way with getting into... well everything. Recently, we discovered they were trying to climb the drawers in the fridge to get a snack (you look away for one second, I swear). Anyway, we found this product and decided to purchase it. Boy, am I glad we did! we put it high on the handle so the kids can't reach it. It's done its job perfectly. Would absolutely recommend.

Safe from the ice cream thief!
Hello! I needed a refrigerator lock for my office freezer because my favorite organic pops would “suddenly” be missing in action - literally.I wanted something simple and inconspicuous. Did not need a heavy duty lock because this fridge was in my office area and not heavily trafficked.I can happily say my strawberry yogurt and mango pops are safe - safe from the occasional person that likes to look in and just have their fill of my ice cream!! Hooray!!!Thank you! Simple to apply - within seconds.

Works but Kinda Cheap
This works for what I need it for but it's really kind of cheap feeling. Sometimes the lock won't fully lock unless we push it together really hard and move the combinations and other times, the lock has popped open if we're just close to the combination. My kids have guessed the combination twice already so really, it's okay for the money but not really doing the job.

Great for toddlers who can’t read numbers yet!
No other fridge lock could withstand they strength of my children. They broke all of them off within 24 hours. Lots of crying because they can’t break it but now I have no rotting food hidden god knows where! My 2 year old can’t figure it out. My 5 year old turned out to be smarter than I thought and managed to unlock it. My problem not yours. Totally recommend this.
