I was eager to purchase a replacement for a previous French Press coffee maker. I had hoped to purchase just the beaker but the price of the Aerolatte made it easier to choose an entire new set. It also includes a measuring spoon to correspond with the measurements on the beaker. The instructions were very clear.

Carafe is VERY fragile, fits loosely in frame.

I recently discovered Tony's Coffee (Espresso Noir flavor) and have been drinking it daily in my cuisinart coffee maker. That was fine, but I wanted to try a more slow, traditional coffee method and see if the flavor was different. I decided to get a french press (this one is by Aerolatte--i have a milk frother from them from a million years ago and they seemed a reliable coffee choice), as that was fast enough to use every day, but should make for a more flavorful coffee experience. Whelp....SUPER HAPPY! First of all...using a french press made me feel very fancy on a Sunday morning (please see image with coffee cup and paper!). Secondly, it was such a rich cup of coffee. The flavor was deep, strong and satisfying. I liked the easy measurements for pouring in my coffee to water ratio. I put my timer on for 4 minutes, then pressed down the plunger and poured into my cup. I also liked the strainer part of the top to prevent errant coffee grinds from escaping. I need to fine tune my grind for the french press, but I just loved this little guy. It is easy enough for every day, but the process is tasty and special enough to feel right for big Sunday breakfast. I will still use my regular coffee pot for mass quantities of caffeine, but am finding I pull my french press out to enjoy the moment a bit more (or for that 3pm coffee break!). Nerd alert....on the box, there is the catch phrase--the incredibly frothy coffee company. How cute is that??

I gave it a 3 star for this single piece 5-cup filter screen because it arrived folded. Material is thin and May explain that. After straightening it flat, it seems ok to try it in my 20-oz French press coffee maker.

Ordered 2 of these and they were shipped in separate envelopes. One screen was folded in half the other in quarters. Needless to say had to straighten them out and one has permanent creases in it but seems to work. Sloppy packaging either at the manufacturer when they were placed in the plastic envelopes or when place in the shipping package.

Love this french press! It's the perfect size for 2 servings of my ginormous coffee cups that I need to function in the morning. I've had a Bodum one for a while but found it was getting "stuck" every time I pushed down. I do not feel I need to be a heavy weight lifter to push my damn coffee press down. This is smooth like butter. And, the other tiny detail worth mentioning is the pusher-thing is FLAT. All the ones I've had in the past have this very awkward little ball on the top which made pushing down quite difficult. I have some auto-immune issues and my hands aren't as strong as they used to be and simple things like opening lids and pushing things down can be challenging. This press makes me happy- it's clearly built with some thought. Also no grounds sneak out when I'm pouring the second cup, which is awesome because I am not a fan of "cowboy coffee" at all! Also- it's a great price and has a simple minimalist look to it that I love. Totally recommend.

I was so excited that this fit my vintage Pyrex press. However, it is not sturdy. After 3 uses, it cracked and broke when we added the hot water.

I really like the secondary filter at the spout of the glass, I often usually have bits of tea leaves or coffee grains that sneak their way around the plunger. The glass carafe isn't especially secure in the metal, however, so you have to be careful handling it.

This is good quality, but it didn't fit my original casing. I made the mistake of thinking the replacement glass would come in universal sizing. It doesn't. Anyway - 2 screwdrivers & one hacksaw later & it fits. These used to be much cheaper so it may have been better value to replace the whole product but at least the original casing hasn't gone to landfill.

It arrived promptly. It is easy to use - arrow shows position when pouring. Looks good and sturdy.

This glass is a little larger than the Bodum, so not the best fit for a Bodum replacement.

Fits our 1 cup press fine but is very thin. Works fine...but finer grounds get through.

First I was very impressed with the product packaging when it arrived. The glass carafe was very well protected.This is the second French press which I bought from this seller. I have been using them for a while. They make good coffee without any coffee grind floating up. Product is easy to clean. Overall it is good buy. Go for it!
