Aerolatte Universal Borosilicate Glass Replacement Carafe For French Press Coffee Maker, 8-Cup, 34-Ounce Capacity (34 oz, 1000 ml)

I recently discovered Tony's Coffee (Espresso Noir flavor) and have been drinking it daily in my cuisinart coffee maker. That was fine, but I wanted to try a more slow, traditional coffee method and see if the flavor was different. I decided to get a french press (this one is by Aerolatte--i have a milk frother from them from a million years ago and they seemed a reliable coffee choice), as that was fast enough to use every day, but should make for a more flavorful coffee experience. Whelp....SUPER HAPPY! First of all...using a french press made me feel very fancy on a Sunday morning (please see image with coffee cup and paper!). Secondly, it was such a rich cup of coffee. The flavor was deep, strong and satisfying. I liked the easy measurements for pouring in my coffee to water ratio. I put my timer on for 4 minutes, then pressed down the plunger and poured into my cup. I also liked the strainer part of the top to prevent errant coffee grinds from escaping. I need to fine tune my grind for the french press, but I just loved this little guy. It is easy enough for every day, but the process is tasty and special enough to feel right for big Sunday breakfast. I will still use my regular coffee pot for mass quantities of caffeine, but am finding I pull my french press out to enjoy the moment a bit more (or for that 3pm coffee break!). Nerd alert....on the box, there is the catch phrase--the incredibly frothy coffee company. How cute is that??

Love this french press! It's the perfect size for 2 servings of my ginormous coffee cups that I need to function in the morning. I've had a Bodum one for a while but found it was getting "stuck" every time I pushed down. I do not feel I need to be a heavy weight lifter to push my damn coffee press down. This is smooth like butter. And, the other tiny detail worth mentioning is the pusher-thing is FLAT. All the ones I've had in the past have this very awkward little ball on the top which made pushing down quite difficult. I have some auto-immune issues and my hands aren't as strong as they used to be and simple things like opening lids and pushing things down can be challenging. This press makes me happy- it's clearly built with some thought. Also no grounds sneak out when I'm pouring the second cup, which is awesome because I am not a fan of "cowboy coffee" at all! Also- it's a great price and has a simple minimalist look to it that I love. Totally recommend.

This product was my trusty daily french press for 2 years. The plastic piece on my plunger broke recently, so that's something to consider. It's a perfect size for a single cup of coffee, not sure where "3-cup" comes from (unless a shot is a cup). I have been looking for a replacement plunger, but can't find anything. If someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!

Ordered as replacement for OXO 8 cup French Press carafe. Item fits and works perfectly with the OXO system. I appreciate that the carafe is a bit heavier gauge of glass. Highly recommend.

I bought this because an inconsiderate co-worker decided to 'borrow' the press while it was drying in the break room and managed to break the original carafe. Everything else was intact; it was just the glass that needed to be replaced.I understand that the glass carafe is, essentially, the whole coffee pot. Still, I am dismayed to find that it is only three dollars less (~$18 USD at time of review) than an entire replacement press (~$21 USD at time of review). I'm glad that I didn't need to replace the mesh screen (~$10 USD at time of review) in addition to the carafe, because then it would have been 25% cheaper to buy the whole press and toss the old one out with the rubbish.I gave three stars because it's a good press, but I caution anyone who buys this to take care of it (and keep it locked in your desk if you have colleagues who do not respect property), because the replacement parts aren't worth the price.

I got away from glass containers altogether and went with a stainless steel press. It’s unavoidable to drop them in the sink eventually while cleaning and they’re just not durable at all.

This is a very good coffeemaker. One of the best features is the sieve/screen for filtering the coffee while pouring it into a cop. It is so easy to clean this pot and I’m sorry I didn’t get the larger pot. However it’s perfect for one person. I urge everyone to watch the video for this coffeemaker. I've been using Ikea coffee presses for years and they work fine, but I really wanted one with a strainer in the lid. This one is the best I've found. I particularly like the 5-cup/20 oz. size, which is what I bought. The holder is thin metal and can be bent, but I don't think it should be a problem under normal use. The glass seems of nice quality and is easily removed from the frame for cleaning. The only way this could be improved is with the addition of extra mesh screens right in the box. The plunger uses a single layer of fine mesh screen, but it seems to be of fine quality since, between it and the strainer at the spout, I've noticed less grounds per cup. My current favorite coffee press.

Friends gave us a Moroccan Cafetière. After we broke the glass it was hard to find a replacement. This 5 glass size is a perfect fit.

Perfect cafetiere for me. I make a 500ml thermos of coffee each morning. I was previously using a standard small cafetiere (350ml) that I had to fill to the absolute brim to try and fill my thermos. I didn't want to get a massive 800ml or 1litre cafetiere and this was the only one I could find in the middle that looked any good.It's great. Well made, works well, and I don't have to fill it right up. You could definitely make 2 decent mugs of coffee with this.And the strange thing is my coffee seems to taste nicer too!Overall very happy with this purchase.

This filter was more expensive than many similar unit but is a lot better quality than previous filters I have purchased. I use it in a Miully Cafetiere everyday. The Miully Caffetiere, also purchased from Amazon, is a really good body but with really cheap filter components. These aerolatte are far superior and and work well, even with fine coffee such as Lavassa Rossa. Remember to wash carefully after each use.
