I tend to write reviews on either good products or bad products. This product is AMAZING and saved me HOURS. As others have stated the bottle did leak a bit upon delivery, the bag inside had some moisture and the seal had broken, maybe 1-2 oz. had leaked. Not the end of the world. I had this product, a Ryobi powered sprayer which I emptied the entire gallon into. (ASIN - B07SYC7JM2). It holds 95% of a gallon. As for what scum I was trying to remove. We keep our boat in the water 6 months of the year. Our boat is a surf boat with surf gates, fresh water exhaust, swim platform etc. These various parts including the metal parts seem to really cake on slime and scum. Last year I tried 4-5 different products, Magic sauce, vinegar and baking soda, a scrub brush, a 3200 PSI power washer, even a powered handheld dremel brush. I, eventually after multiple days of work, got most of the scum off but hard to access parts and in cracks (especially metal - power wedge and FAE) was near impossible. I sprayed roughly half a gallon all over and before I even got back around to where I started the scum was dripping off. I rinsed and repeated in some spots, like the FAE, rinsed again. No joke, our boat looks brand new. Never been more amazed with how much time this saved, how well it worked, how much little effort it took, and the overall results. As long as we have a boat, I'll be buying this twice a year. Bonus - even applied a little to the trailer and same result!

This cleans off a summers worth of grime in minutes. Magic eraser did an OK job with “elbow grease”, this product removed it instantly, and didn’t harm the grass under the boat. In the picture: left side is star bright (until I ran out); middle section is magic eraser, right side is how it came out of the water.

We have hard water, with lots of minerals. I was always complaining to my husband, that the buildup on my stainless steel kitchen sinks was infuriating! I have tried multiple cleaners that are on the market, but nothing worked well. Then, I tried using vinegar, but even that did not work either. He has used this hull cleaner on his boat and suggested that I try it on the sinks. I did not have anything to lose, so I did. I put on latex gloves to work with the product because it is a mild oxalic acid formula, and felt that it would be safer on my hands...my choice, not necessarily recommended by the manufacturer. I poured the product on a cleaning cloth, but now I put it in a spray bottle, which makes it easier to apply. What surprised me, was how well it cleaned the sinks. I did not even have to repeat the application. I did make sure that I rinsed the sinks well with water after use. I am much happier now. ; )

. . .severe tannic acid stains from river water are there to stay: this stuff will take a little of it off with repeated applications but will not completely remove it. Be patient and buy several of those plastic scouring pads with handles, (YoleShy Handled Scrubber Set). They make life a bit easier with repeated applications.

Most excellent hull cleaner I have ever used. I wish I had taken "before" pictures for you. THis product saved me HOURS of hard scrubbing and back breaking work. Our hull always comes out of the water severely stained with a crusted surface of burnt orange from tamarack in the water and heavy stains and water lines. It doesn't come off. In the past, I have used toilet bowl cleaner and heavy brushes and scrub pads and with a beam of almost 7 ft, you cannot reach under there far enough to get at the keel, so it stays dirty, as do the other places you can't get at. So it just builds up year after year. This year, I bought Star Brite, sprayed it on, let it sit for a couple minutes and sprayed it off. In places that have never gotten cleaned before, I had to do a second app and sometimes a third. I have very little water pressure, so the hose was not an effective tool, just saying. But with repitition, it would keep coming off. In about an hour, this boat was spotless from stern to bow. Just beautiful!! Worth every penny. I'll never use anything else ever again. Do use rubber gloves and a mask because of wind overspray.

Very rarely wright a review. After 5 years of ocean boating, my hull really started to display a yellow stain at water line, especially the bottom white half. I tried for hours with cleaners and rubbing compound with frustrating results. Digging through my cleaning supplies, I found this product which I purchased years ago but forgot about it. Figuring I had nothing to loose but try it, I spayed it on the stains and went to find a scrub brush to work it in. To my amazement, when I returned I could see the yellow stain just melting off. With no whiping or scrubbing, just hosed it off and cleaned up like new. I am now kicking myself for not trying a product I purchased years ago. The only recommendation I have is to ware protecting eye glasses and a face mask. This stuff is very potent and irritating to the body. I also assume when using product it will likely remove wax, to a new application of wax in these areas is probably necessary. But, considering this product is such a time saver, diffinately worth it.

Wear PPE's, Respirator, Skin Protection especially hands. No Joke, very strong. That being said, it works perfectly in minutes. I had a dark orange water stain on the transom of a ski boat. A quick wipe on with a rag and in about 30min later it was gone. I tried everything else and nothing even got rid of an inch till this. If you want to remove a yellow orange water staining on the bottom of your boat, definitely buy this product. Again wear your PPE's for sure and be careful.

Worked well taking most of green stuff off of bottom of boat. However there were a few spots that required a lot of extra scrubbing. Would be better if it was slightly stronger. Much cheaper than having the marina clean the hull.
