Grandma, Tell Me Your Memories Heirloom Edition Hardcover – January 1, 2012

I got the "Grandpa tell me your memories" one for my dad to fill out for my son. Just gave birth to a girl so got this for my mom to fill out for my daughter. While my dad is eager to fill this out and I am certain he will have it completed by the end of the year, I am not so certain about my mom since she sees it as a chore lol. So I would advise buyers to consider the giftee when purchasing these. As an alternative, if time is not a constraint the gifter could always do the filling out, while the giftee dictates the answers! The journal itself is a hardcover so that will help preserve it as an heirloom (should mine ever get filled out) that can be passed down from generation to the next. Overall, I am so grateful for the existence of such a meaningful product that my children and grandchildren can look reflect upon while their grandmother is alive and cherish once she has passed.

Give this gift to my mother-in-law to fill out for my young kids. my own parents have passed away, so I want to ensure that my children learn as much about my husband's parents as possible! One day when they're not around to tell these stories anymore, my kids will have these handwritten special memories to hang onto!

Bought this for my grandmother as a birthday present. I don't know who is more excited for her to fill it out. Her or myself. It asks thoughtful and (mostly) cheery questions that will both entertain the grandchildren and bring good memories back to my grandmother. She told me she also liked that there is only one question per day so she doesn't feel obligated to fill out the entire book in one afternoon!

I was afraid of getting these kinds of books at first. I thought they might as questions that didn't pertain to my grandmother or my mother since my kids also gave this as a gift. I was very pleased when I received the books. They are tightly bound like a hardcover book is. They also ask questions that pertain to anybody in my opinion. I've already given them out so I don't have the questions word for word but here are some I can remember (not word for word): Describe the circumstances of your birth? What day and time and where were you born? What was your mothers name? What was your fathers name? What did your father do for a living? Did your mother work outside of the home? What was the biggest lie you ever told?.......there are a total of 365 questions, one for everyday of the year so they can fill it out everyday

Makes a great gift. My grandparents have always lived states away so what I know about their history is pretty minimal because our visits can be brief and more focused on other things. So I thought these were awesome tools. And if your grandparents are anything like mine, they are retired with plenty of time to fill one out and may enjoy recalling things as they put in the info. So they are bonding together and busying themselves. Lots of detailed questions. Pretty cool.

I have been looking for a book like this for a long time and I finally found this one. As it says it has a question for every day of the year. So many times the questions are what I consider stupid, but these are really good thought provoking and will really be able to let your Grandkids know more about you and what you experienced growing up. I liked it so much that I ordered more for each of my grandchildren so they would all have one. I won't copy, but will probably remember different things for each child.

When I got this book, I fell in love with the history it had the potential of holding. It asks questions all about the writers birth, childhood, and grade-school years as well as traditions they did in their youth. My grandma, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, absolutely loved it and enjoys writing in it and telling us all about her memories. I think it really makes her feel like we care and want to remember her long after she passes. It makes her feel loved and important to us young kids.

I got this book for my grandmother on Xmas, and ever since sh'es been coming over telling me all kinds of stories about her life and our family that might not have ever been told without the inspiration from this gift. Apparently the pages do not have enough space for all there is too know! We may have to stick our own notes in there. I am so happy with this purchase and I might get one for everyone in my family now! =)
