I've been looking for a good stair tread grip tape for awhile now. My steps get a lot of use and need to be very non slip. Especially since some of the items can be heavy and bulky and you don't want to lose your footing while moving them. That's where this product comes in. This stair tread tape is thick, has great adhesion and is super non slip. I was previously thinking of installing carpet stair treads, but I found this and it's light years better. I'm buying another roll for other areas!TIP: Wear a nice pair of work gloves when installing this tape or you will lose a few layers of skin off of your fingertips. We have a rental with outdoors stairs for access. Some type of anti-slip traction is required. We have yet to find ANY ANTI-SLIP tape paint, decals matts or whatever that lasts more than 12 monthsI cut off a 8 inch long x 4 inch wide piece of this HOUSOLUTIONS Anti-slip tape and carefully installed it over a clean smooth stone step, my test area. I waited half an hour for it to get settled, I also waited until we had a nice day with temperature at the start of the test at 72º F. and an hour later at 73º F, and a clear sky.I then put on tennis shoes started kicking the 80 grit tape hard at approximately 6 to 7 per minute. The tape gave up its adhesion at approximately 8 minutes after roughly 50 hard kicks. I noticed that the tape had picked up debris from the smooth stone step which I had briefly cleaned.So, I can't directly blame the adhesion issue solely on the tape, but on the stone debris, on the surface of the stone step, as well.My test is rigorous, this is not the same as having someone go up and down the steps. We are TRYING TO ABUSE this tape and I can tell you that this ANTI-SLIP tape should last approximately a year. Considering the price, that's quite a deal. See pictures for condition of tape after test.ONE NOTE. The 80 GRIT on the surface of the tape still had at least 90% of its GRIT on. This is encouraging because it indicates that the GRIP will not be an issue.

I installed strips of this adhesive non-slip tape on the composite wood steps from the deck to help my elderly dog who has mobility problems. It is a real game changer and has improved her quality of life so much. She is even happier now that she can navigate the stairs on her own without slipping and falling down them. This was easy to apply by cutting the strips to length with a box cutter, and sticking onto the cleaned steps. I had a small roller that I used to press it down onto the steps. So far it has not peeled off and has been through some heat and a few rain storms. Great stuff.

This tape has a great friction surface. Definitely good anti-slip properties. The adhesive backing is pretty good on a clean surface. I used it on a wooden ramp to my shed. I power-washed the ramp first and It stuck just fine, but reinforced it with tacks just in case since it's outdoors. Great anti-slip tape.

Great traction tape, sticks well, adds some visibility, and has good grip. Worked very well for adding some traction to a slippery step.

This tape is really well made for heavy duty use in high traffic areas. It has alternating orange and grey stripes so that it stands out even in total darkness, and the surface includes a large amount of abrasive materials to really provide grit for increased traction. I will cover that part in more detail, but suffice it to say that it is also about twice as thick as the various anti-slip tapes that I have been testing. (see photo)Cutting this to size is super easy, and you have a nice backing so that you can peel and install at your leisure. The adhesion seems good, though I do usually like to go over these with a roller when I have that option. However in this case, because of the high grit, I would say a roller isn't just an option, it's a necessity. You don't want to be running your hand over this to make sure it is adhered.I was definitely happy with the grit, and it is as advertised. However, the concern I have is that this is honestly almost too high of a grit level. If you actually did fall on this you would definitely get scratched up. They rate this at around 80 grit and I actually wonder if 120 or even 160 grit might not be more appropriate. Needless to say, you shouldn't have too many people slipping on this. But if you are looking to apply a product on a very high traffic indoor or outdoor stairwell, this has to be one of the better options out there.CONCLUSIONThe tape is visibly impossible to miss and it is both thick and gritty. I expect a long service life from it as well as good performance. I would just caution that this might be too gritty for some applications, such as around schools or day cares where a large percentage of the traffic comes from children.

This is excellent anti-slip tape with the added advantage of being highly visible. I found it sticks well to wood, but not to stone. I am using this on outdoor stairs, both wood and stone, but had to add double sided tape to the stone to get this to stick adequately. The anti-slip grit is some of the best I have found and coupled with the excellent visual component makes this a five star item.

This non-slip tape is really great quality and it works fantastic. It is well made and the craftsmanship is really nice. I used this in my walk in cooler in my restaurant and it's awesome!

When I received the anti slip tape, I placed the tape on ramp leading into my exterior shed. The tape is excellent. My ramp had just been stained, and after rainfall, the ramp is quite slippery. Once I placed various lengths of non slip tape onto the ramp, the ramp was not slippery any more. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
