Tasty treat
Excellent healthy snack, crispy, tasty, solid individually wrapped (2-3 per pack). No prep necessary just open and eat (and hide from the kids because snack stealing is real). A little stinky but not overwhelming, has a little kick if you are not into spicy this probably isn't for you. An amazing introduction to new fun foods for kids. Sturdy enough to double as a mini sword fight food or a kitty unicorn horn for fast food if your kids can get it on the cat. Great snack at a decent price, well worth it for the entertainment value of the walrus teeth. Will be ordering again.

Smells like cat food
These do not actually taste bad. However, the SMELL is awful, like cat food and it lingers on you for hours.

Very delicious!
I really like these. A bit different from the hand peeled ones, yet delicious.

Strangely tasty and spicy
I've never eaten bamboo shoots like this before, it's totally new to me. They are soft, but still crunchy. They have a nice peppery taste to them, a bit more spice than I was expecting, but still pretty good overall. A nice little snack that's probably healthy too.My only real grips with this is that there is so much packaging! It comes in a big resealable plastic bags, and then inside of that are a bunch of smaller one-time-use plastic bags that contain 2-3 bamboo shoots and some liquid. It just feels like a bunch of plastic waste. I with this was all inside of a resealable jar of some kind instead.

Not to my taste
I do like to try new things, new and different foods from different cultures. Usually, I am pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, not this time. I attempted these bamboo shoots. Now, I say shoots, thinking sprigs like asparagus, but these were fairly large "shoots" about 1cm in diameter. They also smelled a little bit like cat food, upon opening the package. They do seem fresh, and are in good condition, so my assumption is that this is probably a great purchase for someone who isn't me.The whole family tried them. My son said 1 star, too spicy. I didn't find them spicy at all, though. More sour, like pickled vegetables, a little salty, and chewy. My spouse did not like them either.
