You can use this for long or shorter hair but it twists your hair nicely. Handles great. I like it and I like the price. Works slightly better than the trust sponge to me.

It was a waste of money.

My son's absolutely love this product. They use it every morning before leaving out the door for school! It works very well! Makes the perfect curls in little boys hair. Very easy to use! I'm sure your 4 year old could figure it out. Very comfortable. It's the perfect size, very very easy to clean. I'ma have to buy another one because my boys fit over it in the morning. So if u have more than one boys definitely would recommend buying more than one.

The material of this twist comb is very gentle on my short 4c afro hair. It does an excellent job making my hair look even curlier and defined. I have mixed silver hair so that makes it look even better. I put leave-in conditioner throughout my hair, then pull the ends out with my fingers. I also do it dry without any conditioner. The trick for me is not to press down trying to get to the roots. Keep the comb more on the surface with a light touch and hold the comb using the edges instead of the finger holes. I turn the comb in a circular motion 20 times toward my face on each section of my head, using the side that is not flat/smooth. Absolutely love the resulting look.
