These baking mats have been a fantastic addition to my sourdough baking routine. They hold up really well to high oven temps and provide a nice, even surface for baking boules and batards. A quick rinse with warm water and a gentle wipe is usually all it takes. No scrubbing or soaking needed. These work well for baking sourdough. I was tired of parchment paper baking into the bottom of my bread because it wasn’t rated for high enough temperatures. These silpat baking mats did the trick. My only complaint is the strips that make it easy to lift from the pan will sometimes flop over the bread during baking. I also trimmed the bottom of the mat so it would fit more easily in my pan without wrinkling into the bread and distorting the shape. That being said, they’re easy to use and wash, keep my bread from burning on the bottom and are much more cost-effective than parchment paper!

I'm not sure if I could actually live without these! Perfect for baking both small and large sourdough loaves. Heat resistant. Easy to remove from my Dutch oven. Extremely durable. Easy to use.

I have been using parchment paper for ages with my sourdough and am wondering what took me so long to buy these reusable silicone bread slings...they are fantastic! They allow me to easily lower and lift loaves in and out of super hot bread bakers without any fear of sticking. They are easy to clean and hold up well to daily use. I can't recommend them enough!
