Best Price
This is a very decent set of beginner lathe tools. At this price point, it would be hard to do better. With four separate turning tools, this is an excellent set to learn on and even use over a long period of time. Turning tools are quite expensive, so don't let this inexpensive price discourage you. For new turners, or for those who just don't want to spend a lot, this is a really good set at a really good price.I have never had turning tools with rubberized grips, as these have. But, I have to say, I like how they feel in my hand. Sometimes rubber can start rubbing a produce a blister, so I'll have to see how well they perform in my hands.The blades are able to be rotated and once they are used up, these are readily available on the market in different quality grades.Even at this price, the chisels came in a nice wooden box to keep them in, just a little extra, I guess.

Good quality
I am a woodworker by trade but have never ventured into the realm of turning. I do not currently have a lathe, but am excited to now have the tools to use one.These are well built, comfortable in hand, and quite large. Much more so than they appear in images. They all have replaceable carbide ‘scraper’ heads. I cannot speak to how well these compare to tradition steel implements, but these can all be rotated to get the most use out of the carbide and are easily replaced when dull.They are quite sharp - they’re carbide - and I look forward to being able to use. This set would make a fine gift for any aspiring woodworker or seasoned professional.I will add to my review once I’ve had a chance to really settle in and use. From all appearances this is a very nice and reasonably priced set. Very pleased with the tool quality and workmanship.
