I got this for my SIL who recently finished his PhD. He loves it and even though I didn't buy it to necessarily be lit, he said it smells great, so that's bonus!

This candle was a definite win for me. The candle with those sentiments is a great gift. The scent of the candle is fresh lavender and should be long lasting. I was thrilled to find this item.

This arrived quickly and looks just like the picture. It comes in a box that can be used to gift directly to someone. Personally, the gift box is not my preference, but could be convenient. I think a more minimal box would actually look more elegant, but it's not a huge deal either way. The candle has a nice lavender scent. I think lavender scents come in two varieties- soft, floral-y or spicy, fragrant. This definitely fits into the soft, floral category of lavender scents. I find that it seems a little less "natural", but still a nice pleasant smell. It's a great price for a small gift or to include in a larger gift basket.
