This product was exactly what was required to power up my Honeywell thermostat controller.

I got a new furnace and my old furnace was put in around 1970/75. I didn't have a C wire for my new Amazon thermostat. I purchased this and you will need access to your furnace for this to work. I connected it per the instructions which was VERY easy and boom, worked like a charm. Very easy and there is a magnetic back to the unit so it sticks inside your furnace to keep it looking clean. A must have if you have no C wire and want to upgrade your thermostat to the newest tech.

Had some hiccups along the way but it worked great for me. My first concern was that there was a c wire on my furnace that don’t lead to my thrnostat, so I had 2 common wires going into the furnace and it still worked fine. The other hiccup I had was since I used my Alexa thermostat at my old house that had a heat pump, it wasn’t working correctly. Had to factory reset it and set up the wiring on the app to match the new wiring in the thermostat. Now everything works great

I've installed these in 3 locations with great success. The Honeywell version was selected over the competitors as these were to assist in the install of a Honeywell thermostat and I wanted no lingering problems to resolve. The concept is quite simple, all this does is control both the fan and compressor from the Y wire and frees up G to use as a 28V return. With more time available, it would be a fun electronic project but these are installed and I'm finished! The main question is why are HVAC installers so cheap as to not have a full compliment of thermostat control wires? What, another $0.05 per foot?

We have an older home and upstairs did not come with the proper wiring needed. This helped tremendously! Now we have smart thermostats and works great. Compatible with Amazon smart thermostat and control with the app. Instructions very clear!
