Ring is a superior product!! I’ve used other cameras and Ring by far is the easiest to set up. If the power goes off it reconnects flawlessly. The controller interface is robust and intuitive. The one challenge I initially had was connecting the tiny nut that connects the base with the light. I dropped a couple before I came up with a simple solution. Simply use a 1/4” socket with an extension. Hope this helps.

This Ring wired floodlight camera is awesome. It does exactly what I expected it to do, which is always good when buying any product. I do a lot of handyman and diy projects around the house and so I install, wire, remove, upgrade, etc all kinds of products from many different companies. By far, Ring products are the MOST user friendly tech products I’ve ever used. Functionality, viewing angle, night vision, motion sensor, and all other features are great. But to me, the installation process for a wired product couldn’t be any easier. One small feature that is incredibly useful is the little hook they have on the mounting plate so that you can hang the camera/light on the hook and then have both hands to connect the wiring. Simple genius. Highly recommend.

This is our second Ring Floodlight Camera. It was left with our former home and we needed to purchase a new one for our new home. One of the things that I found interesting was that the previous version of this camera, once installed, required that we go up on the ladder in order to reset it (due to where it was placed on the garage). With this camera, this is not the case. Once we installed the Ring Chime Pro (with ease) and then set up this camera with the app, it all went very smoothly. My wife stated that there was a firmware update which took about 10 minutes but once that was done, it installed without a hitch. Being that we are former Ring customers, it was a no-brainer for us, to purchase this camera and install it in our new home due to our previous experience wiht other Ring products we had in our former home such as the Ring Security system, Ring Floodlight Camera, Ring Chime, and a Ring Wifi Camera for the interior of our home. Installed this new 2K camera and must way the picture is amazing. I did have a problem with motion dectection not work. Called support and turned OFF the "SMART ALERTS" option. Motion now is working great. Hopefully Ring will find the problem and update the next firmware. All in all the camera is fantastick. I will say the lights brightness are a little lower even set at the high option.

Bought this to add security to my backyard and replace an existing floodlight. I was worried about installation when I saw it came with six hardware packets, but the printed instructions were clear and covered multiple possible installation options. You only need one of the multiple packs of screws depending on the electric box to which it will be mounted. The mounting bracket is attached to the box with the proper screws, then the back plate is attached to that bracket. The nicest feature is the strap that holds weight of the front plate (with the wires, lights, and camera) suspended while you connect all the wires. The screwdriver blades slip out of the handle to turn it into a nut driver for the final bolts to hold the front plate. Do install the Ring app before you turn on the power and be sure you have the QR code that is on the instructions. It is one of the first things you need in the setup. The Ring app is easy to use and offers lots of options for notifications. If you have multiple cameras you can set a different alert sound for each. Five out of five, would buy again.

This product is awesome! The camera catches everything that we want in the area we set. The lights work very well, coming on with movement after dark. I will buy another for another location.

I upgraded to this ring because of the higher quality video plus the eagle view to show the path of peoples route to or pass your home. Also this adds 5G is a Wi-Fi option therefore you have 2G and 5G options.
