Excellent value for a small external SSD drive, but check initially for possible file errors
A quite inexpensive compact unit with connecting leads and Type 'C' adaptor, well presented in a small carry pouch.I bought this to take backups of my Windows 10 laptop, in particular using the Windows 7 facility 'Create a system image'. The Sunbow SSD was immediately recognized when connected via the Type 'C' USB port on the laptop. However, on first attempting to copy some data files to the unit, it immediately gave some file errors - perhaps I was just unlucky with the particular unit. The simple solution was to reformat the SSD as NTFS using Windows, (not the quick format option). The reformat took over 2 hours using my laptop.Thereafter I have had no problem writing to or reading from the unit, and operations are fast enough for my needs. I tested using many large data file transfers, then created the Windows system image (70 GB) on the unit in 15 minutes. Any further problems are not anticipated.

Very good but
I can easily get 365MB/s read write with this drive Via USB 3.0 but after a short while of transfering files to or from the drive the speed goes down to less than 100MB/s because theres no ram cache in the drive itself.I've seen reviews of lost data. I thought this happened to me twice too but the SSD acts odd occasionally and tells you that theres nothing inside. You need to unplug the drive and plug it back into your computer. It may take a few tries but I found that your data has not dissapeared its just the SSD being odd. The drive does get warm when in use though. Also the USB B to USB C adapter that comes with this seems to be good quality.

Initial impressions are highly positive.
This SSD is very lightweight - the cable seems to way the same! It arrived in a brown padded envelope. It came with a handy travel case, a very short stiff but seemingly decent quality USB c to USB A cable, and a USB A female to USB C male adapter, and the SSD itself (see pics). It is smaller than a credit card, and slightly thicker than the USB A adapter (see pics). It can be formatted by an XBOX One S, and seemed to me almost instantaneous (I didn't time this). The benchmark carried out is inline with the specs provided for the device.I tested it, by downloading several games from the microsoft store (ranging from 9GB to over 100GB). Due to the speed of my internet, the download took hours, so the speed of the device compared to HDD was irrelevant. However when playing the games, it was instantly noticeable that the in-game loading waits were drastically reduced.During the installation of the games, the device did get warm, but nothing exceptional, and was easily cool enough to touch. As I have only just received the device, I cannot speak as to if the device will corrupt the data, but bare minimum, it is larger than a 500GB device (so MUST be at least the 1TB advertised), none of the downloads I have made so far have been corrupted, and the device doesn't get overly hot during downloads.I also tested the device on a Windows 10 machine, and it was detected, and could read and write data. I haven't tested with mobile phones, or any other console, but it appears to be exactly as advertised. This would be very convenient for travellers or people on the move needing a decent memory store. As of Jul 2020, this seems GREAT value, but as with ALL such devices, in a couple of years, this may well be considered small amounts of storage for the money!I don't have experience of more expensive SSDs, but I cannot imagine a device costing double the price is double the speed! It's very good value for money. As it stands, if you need over 1TB storage, I'd stick with HDD (purely for cost), but I can see the day when HDDs are assigned to the dustbin of history. SSD IS THE FUTURE.

Small and fast enough
I was a bit weary as I didn't find any reviews online, but it exceeded my expectations. it performs about the same or a bit below any other SATA SSD and its really small. It works great as an extra game/media drive or general external drive. It includes a USB A to C adapter, nice. The drive was formatted as NTFS out of the box.Included pictures are Crystal disc mark Drive benchmark and a pic of the drive and its accessories with a 1£ pound coin for scale.

It heats up like a toaster
I bought this piece of equipment as I saw it very convenient on size, however when I started using it, I saw that transfer speed is really poor and the device heats up like a toaster. Wouldn’t recommend to buy it if you are expecting high speed transfers

Love it - you do not appreciate how small it is until you get it
FANTASTIC .... now working perfectly - the photos on the listing do not do it justice - hence my photo - its about half the size of a Credit Card and less than 8mm thick...I could not get it to work initially as it I had not plugged it directly into one of my Mac ports and it was going through a multi port adapter - my fault. Now plugged in directly and it's GREAT. Highly recommend this and will be buying more ... my only (very slight) disappointment is that I had to use an adapter (supplied) to plug into my USB C Port... but that's just me being niggly and I am going to buy a new cable so I do not need to use the adapter.. but, as I said, they have thought about this and supply it with an adapter so really they deserve 100% marks. GOOD PRODUCT - recommended.

Excellent product.
I really was taken back by it’s size, even after reading reviews, it’s so dainty. Thankfully it comes with a nice storage case. So at least you will find it again. Only used once so far to remove all of our data from an old MacBook Air, it showed up instantly, but I reformatted it to MacOS journaled to use Time Machine. Worked great, it all took less time then expected. Reformatted Mac and reinstalled OS so family member can use the laptop for family conferencing (yes, it’s actually a thing now).
