Best test for at home Iron testing
This test has been an absolute lifesaver for monitoring my iron levels. I always need to keep track of my iron intake, and this test makes it so easy. I'm usually pretty nervous about finger-prick tests, but honestly, this one is by far the easiest and most painless I’ve ever used. It takes all the stress out of the process! Highly recommend it to anyone who needs to regularly check their iron levels—it’s a total game-changer!

Too fiddly to use
Not great. The first jabber broke after twisting off the cap, which only left me with 1, and I couldn't draw enough blood needed.Overall, if you're not used to testing your own blood, don't bother.

Easy to Use
Having always had issues with low iron levels and having just been diagnosed again with low iron, I was happy to review this product as a vine customer. The kit comes in a box containing everything you require to do the test.- Full Instructions- A test cassette (looking just like the COVID Test Cassettes)- Alcohol cleaning pad- Two lances (I did wonder why I had a spare)- Capillary dropper tube (to collect the blood)- A small bottle of buffer liquidFirstly you wash your hands and open up the test. 2. then take the cap off one of the lancets. 3. Clean your middle or ring finger with the alcohol wipe (I would suggest doing both) 4. Use the lancet to prick your finger 5. Massage your finger to obtain blood and collect in the capillary tube. (this is where I had problems as my finger would not bleed enough to collect a third of what was required. This I discovered is why you get 2 lancets as I used the second to prick the next finger and obtain the blood I required) 6. Squeeze the blood into the little chamber on the cassette (just like a COVID test) and finally 7. Add one drop of the buffer liquid. You then simply wait 5 minutes and read the result. If 2 lines appear you have a positive result of good iron levels but if you only have the control line it is abnormal and low. As expected mine was abnormal and thus I am happy that the test worked well.At £9.99 it is quite expensive to get something done that is free from your GP Nurse. However, if you have problems getting an appointment or go to work and want to check your levels then It is a really good way to do so.

Easy to use. Fast at-home result.
The box has everything you need to test - and get the result. If you used covid tests you'll be able to use this easily - just a drop of blood from a finger instead of a swab. You use the alcohol wipe (included) to clean a fingertip, use the pricking device (you get a spare) and use the pipette to draw up a drop of blood. Note the instructions and avoid the temptation to squeeze the bulb! It gets drawn up on its own.You then drop the blood onto the test, add a drop of 'buffer' and await the almost immediate result. It was easy to understand, and easy to do.We'd used a home test kit before where you send away a sample and wait for the results - only they never arrived, so it was good with this kit that you don't have to rely on that last step.Having received a 'deficient' result I'll pop to the pharmacy to discuss.
