Columbia Mighty Lite Iii Vest

The vest fits slightly bigger. This is probably due to the concept of layering - so it will not hug to your body. Rather, it will hang an inch off of your waist. If you want a fitted vest, order a size down, if you want a vest specifically for layering, order the size you would for a t-shirt. I am a size medium in shirts, and ordered a medium, and it fits just slightly larger than I expected but still looks good.ALSO - for those who are searching for specific looks in vests, realize that this vest is not a puffer. It is flat, it has the materials to keep you insulated and warm on the inside of it. But it is not puffed up. I originally expected that and when it arrived I was a bit confused because the image can be misleading. Other than that, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I wear it everywhere. Beware not to wear the white vest on certain outings for it will stain!!

I love this vest. It is sharp looking that occasionally I even wear it at work in the office. I think it looks good with both jeans and office clothing (dress pants). The similar mighty lite III jacket isn't quite as smart a fit due to the sleeves being slightly baggy. I'm 5'7" and weight 126 or so pounds. The small was perfect for me. I really like that this is longer, unlike some of the arc'terx jackets I tried. I like that it covers the top half or 3/4 of my butt! I got the white and I'm quite clumsy. So I got stains on it on the first day. I sprayed it with some blue laundry stain spray bottle we had and the stains actually rubbed right out so I didn't need to toss it in the wash that day. Since then I've of course gotten other stains on it and every single one has come out. They aren't exaggerating that there is some kind of stain prevention coating.

I own 3 of these and alternate them all winter long for my cold weather running. They're awesome to run in. They're super light (they are NOT puffy at all and that's the greatness about it. People on other reviews have complained that they are cheap material, no. This is how they are supposed to be and it's genius. The inner lining is a bunch of silver dots that reflect your own body heat back to you and that's how your stay warm! Can wear other layers under it and use it as a shell or can wear under jacket without looking like a marshmallow. Like I said, great running vest. Also, so many pockets!

I ordered this vest to wear to early season football games and weekends in the mountains. It's been great! It is warm enough alone or as a layering piece. LOVE the color-which looks exactly as it does online. My only issue with it-and I'm not sure it's the vest-is that it is a little longer than I'd like. However, I am only 5'3" and do not have a long torso. In hindsight I should of looked for a petite but it does fit every where else. The good thing about a little extra length though is I never get a back draft! I would definitely recommend this or give it as a gift.

The vest fit as expected in a size Medium on my 5'6", 160lb frame. Overall I think Columbia runs large but as I own other vests and jackets by them already I was expecting this. It's super lightweight and not too warm but definitely makes a difference. Great for jogging in brisk temperatures, and even downright cold ones if you run fast enough to warm your arms up. Thin enough to layer but I've never needed to. Just wish it had a couple reflective details, but that's for my night winter jogging.

I ordered this vest for my trip to Ireland and Scotland. This vest will be light, while keeping me warm-but not too warm! My trip is coming up this week, so I haven't put the vest to use YET, but I can tell I'll be glad I have it. The white color will match with just about everything I have. The turtleneck collar might be a little awkward, though.

Very thin ( in a good way!) and warm. A nice, bright true white. Provided extra warmth without bulk under my parka for an 6 hr. hike w/ my dogs in 18 degree weather. Columbia runs true to size -- no vanity sizing here! Bought a large to accommodate layers. This was the first vest that wasn't tight across my chest(34 G bra size). I was able to it as a warehouse deal so I am thrilled to have this under 43 dollars!

It is a good quality, thinsulate with the metallic liner so as warm as down but thin and lightweight. People who don't know this I think called it cheap on other reviews I had read before, but they are wrong. You can get this wet, sweat no problem, and great quality. White is superbright white. For someone really lean in the torso, though, this was too boxy for me and the collar too high to wear it biking/running. Would catch too much air or be annoying on a sweaty neck. I love the Patagonia Nano Puff which is slim fit and lower collar but they don't make it in white, wish this were cut like that.
