As somebody with a visual impairment, the fact that this device has no screen doesn’t bother me. Nor does the price. I realize that some people may balk at the $79 per year asking price for the pro plan. As somebody who has historically had to rely on specialist devices for the blind that cost easily $500, even with that $79 per year plan, this thing is a bargain. While I am giving it five stars, there is something I should make note of. I have enough usable vision where I don’t necessarily need to use speech all the time. Thus, for my needs, the device app is more than adequate. However, for those that do use speech all the time, and might be considering this, I should warn you that the apps accessibility with the VoiceOver screen reader on the iPhone is passable, but you’ll need to sit down and learn it because not everything is labeled properly. Nor are you able to navigate your summary by headings. The mind map is an inaccessible image with no alt text. These are suggestions that I’ve passed along to the development team and since it’s on the software side, these things could be easily implemented overtime, so let’s hope that they get implemented. For those of you who are wondering if it is worth the cost? My personal belief is that it is because this way you will save wear and tear on your phone’s battery, you won’t have to worry about constantly monitoring your screen to make sure the phone doesn’t go to sleep, plus the ChatGPT transcription features are superior to what Apple Intelligence does, especially when it comes to the summary. The device itself is really awesome. It’s about the size of two credit cards and at the very top is a concave round button to the left of which is a vertically oriented two position switch. That two position switch is what will swap between regular note dictation mode and phone call dictation mode The button is utilized to start and stop recordings. Beyond that, everything else is done in the app. On the back, and you might need to find it, at the bottom, you will find an oval with four round circles in it. This is your charging port. To make things easier to find I would highly recommend putting it in the included leather case. Another really neat feature about the case is the fact that it can magnetically clip to the back of your phone using MagSafe. The battery in this thing is incredible and so far the summarization through chat, GPT has been fantastic. I plan to use this at a conference in a couple of months and I’ve already used it at a webinar for my work. I really hope the development continues on this because this is very promising. Keep up the good work. :-)

Fantastic daily tool now. You can record your thoughts while walking for exercise, and then once syncs at home, you have all your draft ideas for work or writings or anything are instantly organized, and intelligently summarized with headings, subheadings, and an "observer's" point of view of what you said. The app for Plaud opens on my PC. I can then copy it into One Note, and then find my thoughts by word search. It is an indispensable daily tool so I can have less stress writing cryptic notes for reminders. It is worth the money. I do have the small clip on version. I lost the clip, and now it is just 10% useful. So I bought this one, and its increased size is better. I put a Apple tracker on the leather case, and if I cannot find it, my Iphone will find it. So far it is big enough, and I keep it near my Android phone which is the one I sync with to free up my Iphone. It does help to have a free phont to do all the syncing. Great value for the money.

I can only say great things about this device. I bought it to be able to not have to take notes during my meetings and instead have automated notes, summaries, and interact with my information through AI. The Plaud device does all that! Recording is simple, just push a button and you're recording. You can export the audio or analyze it and work with it on the Plaud app. You can use different templates to process your summaries, set speaker labels, and it detects language. It's phenomenal. The desktop app even starts recording Zoom calls' audio automatically. The device is light - the holder is sleek and looks great. It charges super fast, and the charge lasts at least a full day of recording. Technical support is superb. These guys have their act together and make sure that you are satisfied as a customer. I really feel valued by them. I just ordered a new one.

Outstanding device that makes recording and transcription easy.

its a good product you just have to work it. if you are like me that just record my dreams or thoughts, the 300 free minutes is great, however you should learn what you want. do you want the summary of your recording or do you want voice notes or diary entry? for me the thing i needed the most is to be able to read my what i recorded, then i like the voice notes. but each time you generate a template it cost you minutes or points from that 300 points each month. but it is not much but you could eat up your minutes this way .Its also only 2.99 to add 120 extra minutes if you need more. but i need the exact voice notes and i was able to create a template and gave it a prompt to create exact words from my voice notes because i like to see that. i thought it would do that automatically but it does not, i almost returned it but then i found i could create and make it happen. the point is you can choose what type of note you get. you can choose what type of notes you get your recording in, a summary, dairy, teachin notes etc. the 300 minutes is very doable if you are not a speaker long speaches

This device makes my client appointments so much easier. I don't have to remember what I said. It takes down every word and then creates a summary of the appointment. It is easy to use, has great recording quality while stashed in a pocket, and has better functionality than the previous program I was using.

Excelent product and usability. My way of working changed. Be awared that to use it o a daily basis a payment for the subscription is needed.

Surprisingly, useful and accurate with the full subscription. If you speak a lot during your job or have meetings., it’s worth trying this to see if it can help you keep track. It’s similar to having a personal assistant who summarizes your conversations and then creates to do items. It does a surprisingly good job of hearing and understanding what is going on around it and the AI models are now good enough to make sense of it. Understand what was being referred to. I can even infer what different speakers said.

For example, I created a personal template for my shopping list, mapped to the layout of my local supermarket. I simply dictate my list into the PLAUD, and it reproduces it in the exact order I walk around the shop – incredibly practical. In a professional setting, I use it in every meeting, whether in person or online. It accurately records and then summarises the discussion, saving me a huge amount of time and ensuring nothing is missed. The combination of robust hardware, excellent recording quality, and the powerful, intuitive app makes this a truly outstanding tool for both work and everyday life.
