Playskool Heroes Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Epic Optimus Prime Figure

These are AMAZING! My boys nearly lost their precious little marbles over this HUGE Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Epic Optimus Prime Figure! I bought two when the price had dropped significantly, and it made my little ones' Christmas that year! After owning these for over two years now, they are STILL holding up to two very rough boys. There's some scratches and dings, but NOTHING is broken on Optimus! As a parent, you know how amazing that is for a toy to hold up that well! Here are some features I like:Epic Optimus Prime figure stands 22 inches highChest opens to reveal command centerMini-figures fit in command center - sold separatelyA feature I don't like:Simple articulation figure, non-transformingTry explaining to two toddlers why Optimus doesn't transform into truck mode! They love it, but they have mentioned to me several times how they wish Optimus would transform. I know, boys, I know.

This is an impressive transformer. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't transform!!! Arms and legs move, hands move and torso turns but otherwise it is what it is.

I like the size. It's pretty tall-ish and sturdy. Boys can play imagination and "battle" with it without fear of breaking it. Nothing fancy, nothing moves but has an open, compartmentalized back so kids can put things in the spaces. It's simple but good.

This toy doesn't do anything. Its large so may be good foor 2D wall art, but we thought it was a actual transformer.

I'm rating this item based on my own observations, so I will update it after Christmas. I purchased this for my four-year-old son who has only recently become interested in Transformers. I thought this was cool-looking online, and I purchased it during a Lightning Deal, so the price was OK. I was more than a little disappointed when it arrived in the mail. It came packaged in a plain brown box...and when I opened it, it really looked like the item had been used--no packaging or tags whatsoever. Honestly, it appeared like something that I could have bought it at the Salvy for $3. It is made of a flimsy plastic, and it has little play-with-ability. It has areas to store Transformer figures...but little else. It moves a bit, but was just not what I expected. On the upside, it's quite large and the detail on the character is better than I would have expected. I have mixed feelings on this...I'm leaning towards the lower end of the rank than the higher, but I will keep you posted. ;)

My children loved the life-like size of this Optimus Prime. The ability of the chest to open up and store other characters was a definite excitement to them as well. Optimus is made of plastic and is hollow on the opposite side, yet still highly durable. The arms can move up and down as well. Along with other rescue bot toys, this Optimus Prime has provided hours of enjoyment for the young Transformers: Rescue Bot enthusiast.

My son is all about Transformers - so when he received this as a birthday gift he was beyond thrilled. I will say though that while I like the size, the overall quality is so so. I thought there would be more to Optimus, for example you would think his legs would be enclosed by the back of Optimuss legs are open. While this may have been made this way on purpose I kind of feel like the open legs give him a cheap look and feel, like the company skimped on product making him this way. That being said, my son loves the toy and has played with him everyday.

Pretty plain, but a big hit at a 5 year old birthday party. The sheer size of this thing makes it exciting! Heads up though, it comes in a big brown box. I am the type of person that feels like every child deserves to unwrap a gift, not open a bag at their party, but I felt weird wrapping a big brown box. It felt almost like I was trying to pass off a cheap knock-off. It isn't - the box is from Hasbro.
