Excellent Beginners Keyboard
This is a really feature packed keyboard for beginners. It is a good size and almost has full size keys. It comes with an included wooden stand which isn't the most sturdy, something you need to be aware of when using it freestanding. We have it pushed up against a wall so no issues that way.The keyboard itself has all the usual digital keyboard features and multiple sound options as well as recording functionality. The standout feature for us was the follow me led lights on each of the keys which allowed the player to follow the tune without needing to be able to read sheet music. Our 8yr old is only a beginner and he found this a fantastic keyboard to help him to learn how to play.It is also powered wielessly and is rechargeable, which is a very useful option to have.

Great for kids
This keyboard is perfect for kids, the table it comes with is perfect for a child sized chair. There's a display above the keys that is easy to read and easy to use. The keyboard can be plugged into mains but also retains charge for a good amount of time once being unplugged. The stand for sheet music is a bit fiddly to get out but works well. It's a very clean white and the sound is fairly good quality for a kids keyboard.

Nice sound, good quality and great for getting the little man playing
We have a piano at home but I want my son to learn and I felt the light up keys would be a great tool to help with that. The Donner keyboard is a very versatile, you can have it on a surface and use it that way, or you can use it as a sort of upright piano style with the stand. The biggest selling point for me is the light guidance for teaching kids how to play. Kids love following lights and although I still need to teach him finger placement, it's a great way to get your child learning as they get a bit impatient taking instructions from Mum or Dad.The price is fair and reasonable, the sound quality is good, it comes with a sustain pedal and it looks good too.

Useful for a beginner
My youngster is showing a bit of interest in learning the piano, and I didn't want to invest in an expensive keyboard yet. This seems a nice starter option. It's lightweight and fairly portable. The light-up keys are a nice idea for beginners to follow some basic lessons. Don't expect anything close to the touch or sound of a proper piano, but it's a fun way to see if there's genuine interest in learning the instrument.

Impressive starter keyboard
I recently purchased the Donner Electronic Keyboard Piano 61 Key in black and I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase! This keyboard is perfect for beginners with its indicator light guidance, making it easy to learn and play. The included detachable piano stand and music stand are convenient and sturdy. I love that it supports USB-MIDI, Aux Out, Headphones, and Sustain Pedal, giving me plenty of options for playing and practicing. The sleek black design looks great in my home and the sound quality is top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend the Donner Electronic Keyboard Piano for anyone looking for a high-quality and versatile instrument. 5 stars all the way!

I’m very excited about this!
I used to play piano when I was a kid, but I got frustrated and gave up at one point. It’s actually one of my greatest regrets in life is giving up piano. So I’ve always wanted to start learning how to play again. When I saw this, I thought what a magnificent opportunity and I showed it to my boyfriend who is a professional musician (yes, ironic now, lol).We both played around with it when it arrived and looked through the instruction manual, as well as really going through all the different modes and such. And I can tell you that from a professional musician he says that he is very impressed with this keyboard, and not only the quality, but some of the things that it is capable of. It’s hard for me to explain some of what he said because it goes over my head, lol. But I can tell you that we were both impressed by how many different modes you can play in, the different sounds it will make, and the instructional mode where the keys light up, which personally I’m very excited about and I’ve played around with that a bit. Now there are some cons to this in my personal opinion, which I will tell you about. But he also said that the way the keyboard feels and how the keys are weighted is really high quality for a keyboard, and that this is a very sturdy, good quality unit, and that the sound of it is superb. And those are things that I would know nothing about. Now the things that I am disappointed with are that the stand that it comes with is not something that can be put up and then taken down. Once you put the stand together, it’s screwed together and solid and you can’t take it apart and I would really prefer a stand that I can put away with the keyboard and get out of the way, and perhaps put it in a closet or something when I’m not playing. I am also disappointed in the practice songs where the keys light up and by that I mean, I wish there was a wider selection, or better songs, or more current songs or well-known songs. Most of them are very cheesy and some are like old hymns and stuff that you’re really not interested in learning or playing. But again when you get this kind of thing, they have to worry about paying for song rights, etc. so I understand the music industry and that you can’t just put any song you want on these things, but it’s still something you should know and it’s still disappointing, lol. I also would’ve preferred a larger size because even from when I was a kid, I am used to a full-size piano. When I went home to practice, I had a full-size piano at home to practice on, and I’m not familiar with keyboards and how the keys feel, and how they are much shorter than a normal piano so that will take some getting used to for me. But I believe there are longer versions you can purchase.Other than that, I also like the weight of it, because it feels reasonable, but sturdy, and it seems fairly easy to use and learn all the buttons and controls even though there are quite a lot and not everybody has a musician to show them things, lol.But I’m very much looking forward to playing with this more, and at some point, taking lessons from one of my boyfriends friends that plays keyboards and piano, etc. unfortunately, my boyfriend is a professional drummer and while he’s awesome, I am not interested in learning the drums, ha ha.I do hope this review is helpful and that you have a wonderful day!

Amazing instrument for beginners and experienced players
I am not one to rave about a product, but this is a worthy keyboard for my praise. I admit I am not a pianist but I do play guitar. In fact, I first heard of the Donner brand while looking at budget electric guitars on Amazon. I was interested to see so many positive reviews about a brand that I had not heard about. The brand is based in China, where its guitars and keyboards are made. If you research well-known American name brands you'll see that most of their budget instruments are made in China. I am not surprised if Chinese manufacturers are making instruments to sell directly to the consumer following the standards of the foreign (American) brands.I could write pages about this Donner keyboard but to spare the reader I wil condense my comments into bullet points.PLUSES:1. This keyboard came packaged with exceptional care. The large contained two smaller boxes: one the keyboard, the other the optional stand. Not only were the keys protected by a plastic sheet, the keyboard was in a plastic bag with a cushioned wrap around the instrument. It was all in pristine condition on unwrapping.2. The sound is extraordinary. I could not wait to try it out so I didn't even plug it in or charge it (it can be powered either way). It turned on immediately and the sound blew me away. Other keyboards of the same size, 61 keys, just don't have a true piano tone. This one does. Another keyboard I have has weak speakers and to hear it I have to attach an external speaker. Not the Donner. Its sound is loud enough to fill a large room.3. The keys on the Donner are truly full size, nearly as long as those on a standard piano. The touch and sustain are excellent.4. The demos that are built-in and are high quality and really showcase the instrument.5. Everything needed is included. Along with the separate stand (which needs simple assembly), there is an excellent user manual complete with chord charts and playing tips. The manual is also in several languages. There is an AC adapter that both powers the keyboard and recharges the built-in lithium battery. A holder for sheet music is also included.6. The instrument is portable, though it is heavy. The heaviness, though, speaks to the quality of manufacture. I could find no shortcuts in the way it has been produced.7. The range of simulated instruments including percussion, organs, horns and string is among the best I've seen. Some are more realistic sounding than others, but the ability to loop different sounds is a real asset.8. The keyboard is a superb learning tool, as the keys light up and can be followed when learning a song. They even flash on the correct keys while playing the demo tunes!MINUSES:1. It is heavy and although it is portable and can be used with its internal battery, it is not something you can just decide to grab at the last minute. I would recommend buying a well-padded carry case, something not included. I know a suitable one from Donner is available on Amazon.2. The power cord for the AC adapter is short and you would likely need to plug it into a power strip with a long cord.Because I already have a keyboard that I am happy with as a learning tool, this Donner keyboard will go to a family member who plays keyboard in a local band. I've told him about this instrument and he seems thrilled to have it for its portability and wide range of features like simulated instruments and MIDI connectibility. If I had the room in my house and could play keyboards well, I would certainly keep it for myself!
