Unit runs great - after a simple repair.
Unit runs quiet - after I replaced a missing rubber compressor bushing. Went to test the unit, and it made a rumbling noise. Looking inside, I noticed the compressor was loose - the inner corner rubber bushing was missing. After I replaced that, the unit works fine. Blows out good cold air. LG should use 1 piece combination compressor hold down nuts with the rubber bushings, especially for the inner hold down, where it would be harder for workers in the factory to reach.

Warehouse Deal?
Ordered this unit thinking that I got a deal from the warehouse. Took FOUR days to arrive even though it was Prime. Wasn’t packaged in original box, had huge spray foam pieces to “secure” it that were a nightmare to remove. Had to cut the box just to be able to remove unit. No instructions included, side panels were not a match for this unit. After all of this, the blower fan was hitting something making a noise. To top it all off it doesn’t work. Spent a half hour on the phone with an associate with a thick accent, I couldn’t get her to understand that there was no way I can get this back in the box to drop it off to the UPS Store. She insisted that I print the label and take it to the UPS location. My advice is, you see a so called deal on Amazon Warehouse or “Resale”, just buy from someone else. A total nightmare!

Instructions are TERRIBLE, watch videos!
Works fine. Instructions were the worst EVER. Watch youtube *(not the company's) videos on how to properly install it

Worth the money.
Have only used it for one summer but so far so good. Its very quiet and easily keeps the kitchen area comfortable, would probably keep a much larger area cool since we only keep it on a very low setting and no problem keeping up with 90+ degree days. Would definitely recommend.

Good price & performance, but unpredictable cooling
Price and performance were good, but the reason for giving it a 3* is that this A/C does not appear to adjust its cooling correctly according to the cooling level being set, unless it means something totally different than what I expected, and in which case it's a not very useful A/C - there is no way to set a specific temperature, which might be part of the issue. I don't like it too cold, so I often set it at the low end, between Fan and Cool - which appears to be around the low 80s. (I also have a separate thermometer in the room so I know objectively how hot or cold it is).The A/C will go into its cooling mode even when I have it set at the lowest end of Cool and it's already cold enough, yet at another time it will just run the fan when I need it to cool and have set at a colder setting (I am then forced to significantly increase the Cool setting)>The end result is that I end up having to frequently change the setting or turn it off (if too cold), which is where not having a remote becomes an issue (when I thought I wouldn't need one). But it is at nighttime that this is most bothersome, since I end up waking up from too cold (or hot) a room and having to make adjustments.

Keeps the upstairs bedroom like a refrigerator.
I bought two of these for the upstairs windows in my 130 year old house. I have to keep them turned way down or they're freeze you right out of there.
