This stoneware is heirloom quality, collectible dinnerware that can be used as an artistic and contemporary alternative to fine china. It is also extremely durable for everyday use. The three-dimensional designs and unique shapes bring each piece to life. Each colorful scene is hand painted and fired twice at very high temperatures. No two of these true hand-made art pieces are exactly alike. Natural variations in color and shape give each item its own personality. All of these high quality stoneware creations are hand made in Mexico. They are lead-free glazed inside and out. Completely food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

Great quality AND Lead and Cadmium free! My brothers each want one--or two!
Love Love Love these! Happy owner of 6 now. Each was shipped individually, most from different sellers. I've been fortunate each arrived in perfect condition. However I see how they could arrive broken, as some were wrapped surprisingly below expectations. Light colors in each design are only slightly darker than shown in pictures. They're high grade, for sure. Also, I've learned the hard way what heavy metals-- including lead and cadmium -- can do to the brain. So thanks to a good doctor, I've recovered and happy to find these are on the 'safe list'.

Heavy duty
Perfect for someone that's clumsy and likes to know that they actually have a cup of coffee in their hand. Lol ... LOVE it.

Very disappointing!
The handle broke off after the second time I used it. I only hand washed it because I didn’t want to put it in the dishwasher just to be safe! Loved the design but don’t recommend it! Paid a lot of money for it to break after the second use!

Very dull
I love these mugs, love the weight and the designs. However, this one was definitely not as pictured. In the picture. It was bright and colorful and I was excited to get it. While this mug is well made, it looks nothing like the picture. Very dull and drab colors.

Buy art
This mug is beautiful. It is heavy. I purchased it for my son, but I, myself, would find it too heavy. It will be great for my son.

Broken in shipping
Poor packing and it broke during shipping. Otherwise it looks like my wife would have enjoyed it
