I just needed to make one stamp with some small/close lettering. It is well worth the money for this pack of tools, even if I never make another stamp. The shape of each blade is consistent and stayed sharp, and the handles are a great shape in the hand. I was able to make precise, pencil thin cuts with basically no experience in stamp carving. Very beginner friendly and nice quality. I also love that they come with a soft pouch for easy organization/storage.

I recently started exploring linocut printmaking, and this tool set has been a great addition to my setup. I thought I could get away with buying the speedball carving tool with interchangeable blades but it quickly made me want to give up. After researching more into carving tools for block printing I realized I'd need to invest in better tools. I ordered thise product and some wood carving tools for whittling, that I thought would be similar in quality. However I returned the wood carving tools since they were just not right for detailing, although others claim they were good I found them choppy so don't waist your time going that route! I'd say these are one step below the flexcut micro tools which are very pricey but I caved and got them aswell which was also very worth it. In short this product is a great buy if you aren't ready to throw crazy money at the "Profesional tools" they come sharp and handle corners well. It's easy to hold and I really appreciate the rubber covers. Which my flexcut tools don't even come with a cover for the blade ends. You'll also get a case, which I thought smelled strongly of chemicals. But I threw it away since I have a peg board to hold all my tools. I do see some minor flaws in the metal but for the price point they cut well and should last for a decent time. I suggest getting a sharpening block since they won't stay sharp forever.

Product is ergonomic, very sharp and the variety of sizes allow for a wide range of cuts down to pretty amazing accuracy. Haven't had them for very long but they have been amazing with Linocutting! The only reason I knocked off a star is because they came and looked used but they were still sharp and worked perfectly.

I'm getting into linocut and I bought a cheap kit with a terrible set of chisel heads. Bought these to see if it was just bad tools making it so hard and thank god it was. They came nice and sharp, feel good to hold for longer carving sessions, and for the price they're a steal. I've been using them for a month or so and they're holding up well so far. My only complaint is that I wish there was a large, round chisel included which would be really convenient for clearing out larger areas. The smallest size is quite small and the largest quite large so the size variety is great, I just wish there was a little shape variety.

They arrive fairly sharp. But are made out of a steel that sharpens up easily so I had no trouble putting a an even better edge on them and I've had no trouble maintaining the edges during use. The case is of a good quality and the tips came with thick covers on them for safety. They are comfortable to hold and to use and the shapes and sizes are ideal. Great tools for the cost.

I bought these small V chisels for carving in bass wood (very soft) because for the most part they had fairly good reviews and the price was right. Regretfully, it was an extremely bad decision due to the grind on the chisels. There is absolutely no quality control as the grinds were off center, had ragged edges that looked like saw teeth and would NOT cut the softest wood without tearing the fibers. I did like the handles so I decided to keep them and simply sharpen them. This took several hours to regrind and shape amd only time will tell if the metal is good and if they will hold an edge. Conclusion: If you don’t have EXCELLENT sharpening skills you should avoid this chisel set.
