PACKTALK SHOEI ADAPTOR - Gen 2

Fit perfectly, works great.

Purchased this adapter for a Shoei Neotec 2 and Cardo Packtalk Neo combo. Snapped on to helmet easily, fits both helmet and Cardo unit well. I was on the fence about using this mount vs the adhesive that came with the Packtalk kit but I am happy we went with this option as it seems very secure and well made.

Fit perfect for my Shoei GT Air 2! Only negative is the 3M double sided tape they use for the mount didn't stick too well after the first time i mounted to my helmet. So i removed the original double sided tape and end up using Gorilla Glue double sided tape and works great! Haven't had any issues after using Gorilla Glue double sided tape. If you have a Shoei helmet and need to mount a Cardo this is the way to go if your helmet need a Cardo adapter.

An adapter that replaces the left cover where sena srl3 would have been integrated so you can use cardo packtalk edge in a cleaner and easier to reach location. Works well for Neotec 3 and cardo packtalk edge only if you like to have the boom mic on your left cheek as the wires of the packtalk edge are not long enough if you put on your right cheek (where sena srl3 is located) Wires cannot be tucked inside the back of the lining as you will feel it at the back of your head, likewise will not fit in the battery compartment at the back (which would have been the best location) since the mic and speaker connector wires are just too short. Instead the location will be just under the rear cheek trim for the speaker connector and just beside your left ear for the mic connector. Simple solution for shoei neotec 3 owners who want to use cardo packtalk edge for a cleaner, easier to reach location instead of a sena srl3. Before this, i used the tape mount of the edge and mounted it almost at the back of the helmet already, and it wasn't the cleanest look nor easy to reach. But this setup has all the wire connectors fit at the back battery compartment and boom mic can be placed at the right cheek. So pick your poison.

Good fit but adhesive is questionable. There is a chance that this was user error, but I followed all directions for install as best I could and let it dry and adhere for multiple days before using it because I didn't have my bike yet. On my first ride I checked my shoulder on the highway going about 57 mph and heard it peel back. Got to a parking lot and it was half way peeled off the helmet. I replaced the adhesive with some from my place of work and it already feels sturdier. Works well otherwise, but would be better if it was designed to clip into the helmet rather than adhere to it

This is a great adapter made by Cardo to fit on Sena mounts found on Shoei helmets. I've been using this for almost a week now in 100°+ weather and there are zero signs of peeling or weakness. It's very solid. I think the key is to give it the 4+ hours it needs after sticking to the surface and also using alcohol to prep the surface before applying the sticker. It's doing a wonderful job in holding my Cardo Packtalk Edge in place! It's super easy to apply. This is a wonderful value for the money, especially since it's provided by Cardo directly. I do not notice any wind noise when riding at any speed with this adapter on.

If you’re looking for something under 20 dollars that can injure or kill you, this might be the product for you. If there were no limit on star ratings, I’d give this beauty a negative infinity. There is no reason for it to exist. What the product images don’t show is that it doesn’t snap into the space as you’d assume (or at least I did), but has the same sticky tape that the cardo comes with. So you remove the factory piece and this “piece” fits in the void. You peel and stick the tape that’s not even formed to match the plastic so much of its surface area doesn’t even contact anything. The company knows this is an issue or else they would clearly show the back part with the tape. I would have never ordered it and they know it. So anyway, I stick it on and wait a few days before even touching it after that. Then I start installing my comms. I could tell it was not sticking well, but was going on a long trip and figured that would be the test of its effectiveness. I didn’t get 300 miles before my cardo was hanging on my shoulder because this piece of junk didn’t stick. The worst part is that when it fails, it drops in a way that wedges itself under the rim of your helmet and your shoulder. You cannot turn your head in that direction. If you’ve ever seen the movie The Jerk, it’s the equivalent of the Opti-Grab. Do yourself a favor and just use the default cardo mounts. Or join the class action that should be forthcoming.
